Immediately noticeable: First, it's hot and humid there! Unusually large areas of hotels. The people live very poor and it shows. The staff is ok. friendly. Second: Excursions are prohibitively expensive - they simply do not cost even half of that money (compared to Europe and Africa). In fact, the entertainment of the hotel for 2 weeks is enough - we flew by in one breath. There is nothing to buy there except for souvenirs.
What surprised me: outside the hotel, many shopkeepers asked for beer and food from the hotel (we did not bring it)! But leaving for the airport, we took meat and potatoes from the restaurant for the bus driver (wrapped in foil) - he was happy: he brought us to the Hard Rock Hotel - to show us, gave us a CD with local music (good music), in general, he wanted to make us a lot of good - it was nice.
Rest interesting, beautiful, tan - super! You will be very happy!
