On New Year's Eve we stayed at Iberostar Hacienda and Iberostar Costa Dorado. The celebration is similar in both. All vacationers are given New Year's hats, serpentine, pipes, rattles, etc. Then they make a gala dinner in two passes, usually at 6:30 pm and then at 8:30 pm. Dinner is great and very nicely decorated. Then live music, champagne and at exactly 12 at night a very beautiful fireworks display. After the fireworks, again music and dancing. New Year under the palm trees is great!!!
