You were offended in vain. You asked, and I wrote my opinion about the Dominican Republic. Your question is good. We live in Germany and flew 10 hours on a direct flight from Munich to Punta Cana. Wedding ceremonies there are original: sand, sea, palm trees, but not for everybody. Before the trip, I also tried, like you, to find out something, even called the "local" Russians, there was no result, that's why you followed this advice.
