The barn has newer rooms and furniture, baths with hydromassage, the main buffet-restaurant with air conditioning, which is a big plus for a humid climate. The barn is an adult-only hotel, while the Iberostar Bavaro is a family-friendly hotel. In Ambar, there is a very interesting square, which is used by the entire Bahia complex, where there is live music in the evenings, there is a karaoke bar. In Iberostar Bavaro, the territory is much greener, more like a botanical garden, where under every tree and bush there is an inscription with the name and where it came from. Flamingos, fish and all kinds of birds are a huge variety. Service and maintenance was slightly better than in Ambar, it seemed to me that the attendants were a little friendlier. The beach is the same, since Bahia is followed by the Riu hotel complex, and Riu is followed by the Iberostar chain. From Ambar to Iberostar 20-30 minutes along the beach. The food was about the same, in Ambare maybe a little better. There are restaurants with sea views in both, but in Ambare this restaurant is practically on the beach, and in Iberostar it is behind the palm trees. Personally, I liked the Ambar better, I like newer hotels and air conditioning in all restaurants is very important for me. I don’t know about dinner on the beach, but the fact that you can order flowers, champagne and a cake with candles in the restaurant in the restaurant is for sure, and all the waiters in the restaurant will sing “happy birthday” for the wife. I would still probably choose Ambar.
