In a few days we wrote off, he sent photos of excursions and asked to bring food from Russia by barter. A trip to Saona Island was agreed in advance for $ 75 (price for one), taking into account a SMALL GROUP of people 8-12 people, which was fundamentally IMPORTANT to us. The recommended guide's name was Igor. At the first meeting, the person behaved suspiciously (asked to leave the hotel, hand over the money in the package, he was in a hurry, hurried us), but we didn’t attach any importance to this, since he was on the recommendation. P.S. a couple met on the bus who were similarly deceived.

We just arrived, I want to say that we took from the Santo Domingo hotel guide for $ 95 / person. In general, not bad, the guide told a lot of things, we were in the city itself, and in the lagoons, but what we didn’t really like was that we spent a lot of time in souvenir shops. There were also many excursions offered on the beach, but we were afraid to contact. We also went to the island of Saona with a photographer, everything is just super!!! we were alone on the boat, sailed to the island early in the morning and there was no one at all on the beach! On the way back we stopped in the Caribbean and swam. The price is more expensive than if you take an excursion, and without lunch on the island, but the pictures are super, and you will be alone everywhere.

After that, we took about the hotel from the Republic Pro excursions to Saona and Redonda - small groups, the price is less, and most importantly - there was no one on the beach in Saona except us!!! Our neighbors who traveled with a travel agent couldn't crowd the beach.
But, what is most disgusting is that travel agents tell tales about how dangerous it is to walk outside the hotel. I noticed this back in Spain or Mexico. Not true!! It's just behind the hotel everything is cheaper and better!

During the tour, a professional photographer took wonderful pictures. It's very cool to climb the mountain with a truck, fresh air, speed, even breathtaking. On the mountain, we admired nature, my husband even rode on a swing (I did not have the courage). It is also beautiful on the wild Macau beach, waves, landscapes, funny stories of our guide and delicious pirate rum. The sea was clean and calm, we managed to swim a little. Sea of impressions, we are satisfied, I recommend.

In order not to sit in the room, they began to look for where to go, where you can’t write, either there is no group for our 2 days, or the group is already full. We found the company #365flamingo on Instagram, wrote that there are places in Saona and Santo Domingo and the prices are 30% cheaper than the tour operator offered us, we decided to take a chance and were very satisfied. We drive to the Dominican Republic once every two years, the last time was in early December. For a long time we do not take excursions either in the hotel or on the beach. First, they searched the net and got hit a couple of times, then they began to ask the neighbors in the hotel: who went where. This time we went with two Bananas to Saona with a wild beach. It's raining in the morning, and then there was so much sun that we seem to have burned out twice! The group was 14 people, there were extra seats on the boat. Guide - Russian Sasha did not let us get bored. It seems that we know everything about our beloved country, but he always found new topics, no matter how much we tortured him! They took it and brought it on time, gave us food and drink, entertained us with contests (my husband won a shiny coin as a keepsake), so we are quite satisfied with our money. And the wild beach on the island is just heaven! Thanks guys! Recommended!

TWO BANANAS IN NO EVENT DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY ON EXCURSIONS!! A real danger to your lives! Let's start with the fact that they took us last, then when other people were told all the information on the bus, we were left with no information at all about the city of artists and the Saona island itself. The guide clearly read a couple of lines from the book and that was it. 100% not professional. Then they brought me to the town, they also did not give any information, they just showed me where the toilet was, after 40 minutes they put me on a bus and took me away. Then began a HELL trip to the island. They put 30 people in one old longboat, which BROKEN IN THE MIDWAY! We just sat and waited, no one even said what happened. After about 50 minutes, another boat sailed on which we climbed right in the water with things. The other Boat was flying at the speed of light, THE REAL RISK OF FLYING OUT OF IT. No insurance or security. Further on the island was terrible food: empty rice, mashed potatoes, rotten chicken. Alcohol is one kind - the cheapest rum and cola.

Cheaper is not always better: a year ago we bought an excursion to the saona from the locals on the beach, not only did they not come for us (they rescheduled the next day without explanation when I found this seller on the beach), and we were two on the island hours because of the "drunken" catamaran, it goes very slowly. And of course there was no Russian guide. This year we pre-ordered through the site Two bananas, a review about them: an excellent guide Dimon, high-speed boats are of course a little scary, but we asked to do this and the captain did it without any problems !!! Normal food and a lot of vegetables and fruits (I don’t know where Eugene from the last review found rotten chicken, he probably brought it with him :))) I didn’t go with a guide and didn’t listen to anything - he didn’t learn anything (this is again to Evgeny’s last review). We liked everything, especially the stars! So these bananas are recommended!
