arrived on 04/03/2010 from Resta Reef. The pontoon was completely broken, they would not repair it, they said, not soon. Part of the Resta Grand beach also suffered from the storm, many came to us because umbrellas were being painted and restored and there was no playground for beach volleyball. Compatriots - a rarity, but not great! Masks, tubes are sold, but the quality does not match the price.

Resta Grande does not have its own pontoon. Therefore, many vacationers from the Grand just from the beach swam (or crossed on foot) the lagoon, climbed out (became feet) on the edge of the reef and descended to the depths. Local employees did not chase them, because it is far from the pontoon, and it is useless to shout :)
Of course, walking on the reef is not very pleasant, but after all, what if the pontoon is broken?

Masks and snorkels are sold, but it's better to go across the road to the mall. There prices are only $1 higher than in Hurghada. The range is sufficient. There was even a real silicone kit for only 85 Eg. pounds. And in the grocery store we bought strawberries for $2.5 per kg. January is fine. Strawberries are very fragrant, large and sweet.
