But if you choose by the quality of the reef - definitely Oriental bay, and I highly advise you to visit the neighboring Marsa egla bay, we saw a dugong and several turtles there and the reef is very worthy, we went there on foot and hitchhiked, about 2.5 km from Oriental bay. Pensee Azur is also a very worthy reef, this hotel is located closer to milestones in Hurghada, the road from the airport will be much shorter than in the others listed above. Wadi Lahmy Azur Resort 4*. You won't find a better reef. BUT... This is the southernmost hotel (which is sold in Ukraine). Accordingly, if the transfer from Hurghada is about 6-7 hours.

We have been 6 times in Marsa Alam. Mostly northern hotels, the southernmost, in which there were "Aurora Oriental". Were in the Hilton, swam Braika, were in Concorde, swam on the reef "3 Konas", most of all I liked the reef in the "Marina Lodge 4 *"

I rested in Rehana Port Ghalib, it only opened in the summer of 2015, but after the plane crash it was closed since November 2015, but now I looked, it opened! Called Sunrise Marina Resort, there is a sunset from the shore, the corals are incomparable. I don’t know how it is now for the price, but I really liked it then. I have never seen such a beautiful sea anywhere else. The advantage of the hotel is that it is essentially new, it was open from June to November 2015 and only opened in December.
