The excursion is transferred much easier than, say, to Cairo or Luxor. We also sailed on a ferry, it would have been possible by plane, but the time savings turn out to be insignificant + it’s still interesting to be at the intersection of as many as 4 countries! The ferry is reliable, there were enough seats for everyone, the same with buses, so don’t worry.
