I went for the first time at 4, we were told that there was a slight difference, BUT at 4 in Egypt there may be less territory, less and not so diverse entertainment, most likely there will be no slides

You know, there are 4* much better than 5*. Here in Hurghada there is a 4 * hotel Sofitel and Coral Beach 4 *, so it will give odds to some 5 *. Where do you want to go, Hurghada or Sharm? I highly recommend Sofitel. All who were from my friends, all left with super cool impressions :)

no matter what month you are traveling, choose 5 stars if finances allow. Although tours in August should be cheaper than in April or October.

First, let me give you some advice, in August you will die from the heat, in Egypt the daytime temperature in the shade can reach +50, this is very dangerous ..
the best time is october, november, +30, sea +25+26...
Fours from fives differ in the quality of food, a variety of food, the number of pools, the presence of a private beach, daily or non-daily cleaning in the room, entertainment on the territory, there may not be animation in a 4-ke ...

I don't understand where the temperature is 30 degrees in November??? The ability to exaggerate is inappropriate here! Traveled in November air-24-26 degrees, water 21-23. I have a friend, so she had 40 degrees in the shade in February. :). I travel to Egypt all the time and sometimes it's even funny to read the reviews. Probably people are very impressed with WINTER-SUMMER.

very often 4 differs from 5 only in that 5 is on the first line, and 4 on the second.

You really read reviews about the hotel. Since it’s really 4 *, sometimes even better than 5 *. Everything depends on the hotels. But 2 years ago, my girlfriend was vacationing in Egypt in August, and I was in Turkey. So in Egypt it was +35 , and in Turkey +40. So, read the reviews and forecasts. And it’s nice for you to relax.

Also look at prices. If the five is cheaper than the four, then the service there will be appropriate, and vice versa. We were in Arabia Azur4* in autumn, and our acquaintances were in Dana and El Palacio (both "five "), how they envied us! But we paid more for the tours))). Sofitel has already been mentioned - also an excellent level of the hotel. Read the reviews and have a good holiday!

best 4s are better than worst 5s

Of course, there is no difference, but:
1. In the top five rooms are in a more unworn and well-groomed condition. Cleaning is equally good.
2. In the four, the menu variety is not as rich as in 5 *
3. 5* hire more experienced staff!!!
4. I do not take into account the territories, because the number of stars is not affected by the size of the pools, or the location on the 1st or 2nd line of the beach, or any other architectural differences
5. Animation and entertainment alike
Choose a hotel based on reviews and recommendations - it's easier

I never saw the difference between 4 * and 5 *, the difference is only in expensive and economy hotels. You need to choose according to your taste, that is, what you want to receive. Some are only interested in the sea, others need only nightly entertainment, and there is a category that only travels around Egypt, and they practically do not feel at the hotel. So first you need to make up your mind so that you don’t get disappointed later.

In Egypt, the concept of stardom is so vague, it seems that as many stars the owners wanted, they slapped so many, so I agree with all the previous ones - read the reviews.
I 100% agree that the fours Sofitel and Azur will give odds to many Egyptian fives.

I fully agree that some 4 * can exceed 5 *. Therefore, it is better to really start from the budget that you have for the trip, and then just read the descriptions of those hotels (both 4 * and 5 *) that you can afford.

It is better to choose fresh 4* than old 5*. And the stars are considered according to different criteria: sometimes a supermega hotel, but on the second coast, - 4 * is three or four times worse than the hotel on the first coast - 5 *. And believe me - it's not invented ;)

I did not notice a fundamental difference between 4 * and 5 * - 4 of a good international chain is almost always better than 5 of a purely Egyptian hotel. See reviews. I really like the hotels of the Iberotel and Sol I Mar chains - they are usually freestanding, excellent conditions, the staff is attentive without being intrusive, full of everything. But in Naama, the Hilton Dreams hotel is a stunning territory, a wonderful room, the best beach - and sand, and palm trees, and corals, there is where to go in the evening - and the food is at the level of the station canteen.

I agree with HotLine, confirmed by my own experience
