tour prices
We took a tour to EGYPT for 3 months in advance, paid 30% came to pay extra 2 weeks before departure, we were required to pay extra for the second part, since the internal exchange rate changed with the tour operator!? They didn’t pay anything extra, they yelled, squeaked, but we gave them at the rate when we applied for the first time. Do you think they will set up a trick or were we wrong?

I have a contract in my hands, since I'm flying to Hurghada on September 10 ..... so there is a point - I quote:
"on the day of full payment, the total cost of services is subject to change in accordance with the change in the exchange rate of the hryvnia against the US dollar or Euro, and the parties will conclude an appropriate addition to this agreement."
аватар Uylia
you are absolutely wrong. in this case, the tour operator may terminate the contract altogether
аватар chernova
you can terminate the contract for many reasons and not only the tour operator

In a nutshell, you had to pay the amount specified in the contract.
If not in a nutshell. Usually, the price in the contract and settlements are made in the local currency (in your case, in rubles). If all calculations were made in rubles, then there are no questions. How much is written, so much we pay. If you paid in dollars or the contract provides for indexation at the current rate, then you must pay so many dollars to receive the required amount in rubles (ie, at the current rate).
By the way, operators from agencies accept money only in rubles.
Can there be problems? Unlikely. Cancellation of the tour is an expensive pleasure for the agency (operators impose fines). BUT - it is very important whether you have documents confirming the full payment for the tour. If not, then cancellation is possible and fines will be at your expense. But this is with a formal approach. This rarely happens in real life.

If you paid 100% right away, you would not have any claims. In this situation, you were wrong. The rest of the amount is calculated at the rate on the day of calculation.

It seems to me that there can be no adequate answer to this question, since no one knows what wording was in your contract, in what currency the payment was prescribed ...
аватар chernova
there is always a clause in the contracts about payment .... If they paid the entire amount at once, then this is at the rate of that time ...... And the surcharge is ALWAYS made at the current .... And this is not only in travel agencies .. ..it's like that everywhere....
аватар chernova
and even better. so that you open the contract and read what it states about this ....

Cool you have there in Moscow ;) In Ukraine, you will not spoil. After confirming the tour, 2-3 days are given for full payment, or the operator will cancel the tour. Course pah-pah fluctuates not much. In any case, read what is written in the contract.

I think that the operator is wrong if he did not warn you that at the time of payment the rate may be changed. But you are also wrong that you did not pay extra, because the contract states that the price can be increased by no more than 5% of the amount in full payment.

It turned out that they wanted to scam us like suckers! I explain that after concluding an agreement with a client, the agency must pay the operator the entire payment for the tour within a maximum of 5 days, the rest is the agency’s problem, since in order to attract clients, the agency itself pays the missing part (second) of its own free will for the client. This is done by those agencies that have funds and can afford it, small agencies do not have so much funds and therefore give a maximum of up to 3 days. And these freaks saw that wealthy people came and wanted to make money on a fool, hiding behind a change in course, but it didn’t work out, we have a ticket in our hands! They didn’t pay the entire amount right away, since any agency can run away in 3 months, the tour starts with a divorce , is it really necessary to go around in this country pretending to be poor and dirty so that the first comers do not breed?!

When are you and what city. are you flying to the hotel?
аватар 57888
We do not have this, payment occurs within 3 days and if the tourist does not fly or does not pay for the tour within 3 days, then he pays a fine and the tour is canceled.
