I like such questions without introductory - neither the city, nor the price,
no entry from the shore or pier - do your children swim like fur seals? ;)
From the shore of the reef in Arabesques and Prima (Makadi), Hurghada.

And how is the wind in November-December?
аватар Stella25
No one will give a guarantee for the wind, how lucky. The best corals are in Sharm. Hotels: Coral Beach Montaza 4*, Baron 5*. Melia Sharm 5*, Melia Sinai 5*. Everywhere the entrance to the sea from the pontoon. The price of hotels varies greatly, as does the service. I have been to Melia Sinai once, twice to Coral Beach Montaza. Baron is the most expensive and, as they say, the most pleasant in terms of food and service. All these hotels are nearby - they have a common pedestrian promenade. Between Baron and Montaza there is a small quarter with shops. The corals and fish are amazing.

In November, the wind can still be tolerable, but December - watch youtube videos about December in Egypt

And I was in December 2015, just before the New Year, in Sharm, and there was no wind. In November, I was three times, it seems, so once I got into the cold wind for five days. But this did not interfere with swimming - only after the water it was necessary to quickly wrap yourself in a towel. Of course, it's winter, but it's not such a horror-horror, who is cold at 23-25 degrees in Egypt, of course, can stay at home)) the ideal weather in Egypt is March-May and September-October. But I was in July, and it was great.

If you are flying to Sharm, the wind-sheltered bay is Sharks Bay, but there is a deep entrance to the sea, through the panton. You don’t specify your budget and the star rating of the hotel, everything has its own nuances.

This year I was in January and February. I can not say that the wind carried. Water below 22 degrees does not happen. 4 year old child is unlikely to like the sea. (it's salty). My kids only swam in the bass. yne. Once we were in December. The weather was fine, no wind. See windless bays. One I have advised you is a win-win option.

Thank you. At first I wanted to Sharm. Then I read that the best corals are in Marsa Alam, in the port of Ghalib and Makadi. I just don’t know how it is with the wind and for children. Better, of course, a sandy entry for children.
аватар Stella25
There is wind in Mars all year round, that's why I haven't got there yet - I don't want to spoil my vacation. And no - the corals there are no better than Sharma. My sister was last year, she said - it was an experiment, there are corals there, but the best in Sharm.

Sandy entry in Taba. I was with a small one at the Movenpick Taba Resort 5*. There are corals, and sunset from the shore. But still the best reefs in Sharm. That's why we go there every year.
аватар oksana-r
Do not sell tours to Movenpick Taba Resort 5*, Melia Sharm 5*, Melia Sinai 5* from Lviv. Baron is expensive. Are there corals in ISLAND VIEW RESORT SHARM EL SHEIKH 5?
аватар orhideya21
Of course have. This is White Knight Bay - the White Knight. Warm and watchable. Look in it and Hilton Sharks Bay and Sierra.
аватар orhideya21
If your budget allows, check out the Reef Oasis Beach Hotel. The most windless bay and excellent sea. Entrance both from the pontoon and from the shore. The coral is still alive and colorful.
аватар orhideya21
In December it is still not cold, and even more so in November.
See hotels in Naama Bay. For children, that's it. Sonesta Beach, Sonesta Resort with slides, Xperiens Parkland Budget.

Port Ghalib is hardly suitable for children

On the Island - yes, there is a reef. How beautiful - I do not know. In Sharks Bay, I was in Coral Beach Rotana - there is a very beautiful reef, but the hotel itself is so-so, or rather, the rooms are ok, and the food is very mediocre and there is little choice ...
In Naama, I never considered anything even - close to the noisy street of shops and restaurants of Naama Bay, and the marina with yachts - oily water ... but if anyone likes ... I like to be away from the noise, so we usually fly to the Baron area - Ras Nasrani bay. There is also Tiran Island, which seems to be quite good according to reviews. Well, my favorite is Coral Beach Montaza - $ 546 a week for two in December, I wondered if it was time to go to the sea)))
аватар oksana-r
I also like away from the noise. Ras Nasrani Bay hotels are not yet sold.
аватар Stella25
It depends on the operator, probably, at Joint Up they always sell everything ...

Mars is the best option for living creatures and corals, BUT you are flying with children. It takes 4-4.5 hours to get there after the flight by bus. Of course, the bus is comfortable, you can read, watch movies, but will the children survive? Return pick up 8 hours before departure. In Mars, for children and adults, the best is Shams Alam - a gentle sandy entrance and awesome corals, and most importantly - YOU CAN ALWAYS SWIMM! There the reef closes from the waves. But Marsa is more expensive compared to Sharm
аватар zolyshka111
Stella25, the most lively and beautiful corals in Marsa Alam, actually))))

I was in Port Ghalib in 2015, the weather is song, there is no wind, though at the end of September, the Rehana hotel (but now it is closed), the entrance from the coast, I have never seen a fabulous sea, even in Sharks Bay (AA Grand Oasis Hotel) there was no such beauty as in Port Ghalib and for children there is a normal entrance, even turtles and dugongs swim in the sea, which is not even close in Sharm! The only negative is to fly to Hurghada, and then 3-4 hours by bus, but since October there have been direct flights to Mars !!!!))) True from Kyiv (Zhulyany airport) The author, I would sincerely advise you to Mars or the same Galib, but I won’t tell you about the wind and the hotel - ask around in TA. Children will love it there, they will swim like in an aquarium)))

Dahab. Happy life village hotel. Tourists are brought to the house reef from other hotels)). Excellent food and 2 slides. Quiet. Positioned as 4+. In reality, this is 3 *, I have been to different places, but now I will only go there.

I read about Marsa Alam many times, but from the comments of the tourists who went there, and my friends and relatives, I realized that Sharm is no worse. And since Sharm has pontoons (unlike Marsa), and I know exactly where the best reefs are in Sharm, there is no alternative to Sharm for me. Perhaps in a couple of years I will change my mind, but for now I only fly to places where I am 100% sure that I will see a lot of fish. None of my friends even saw turtles in Mars, and in Sharm we saw turtles, flocks of dolphins, and Napoleons close by - drop dead beautiful huge fish, moreover, right under the hotel's pontoon.
аватар Tana999
There are a lot of hotels in Mars with both piers and sandy entrances. And only the lazy will not see the turtles :-)
But if there are such places in Sharm, then Sharm is better with small children. That's what Sharm doesn't have - it's a relaxing holiday (when the Arabs don't get you) and European service.
Stella25, please tell me a hotel in Sharm with turtles, dolphins and Napoleons.

In Sharm, I saw turtles on the reef of Coral Beach Rotana Resort Tiran (Sharks Bay). Napoleons and dolphins - several times - on the territory of Coral Beach Montaza (Ras Nasrani). This is a reef that stretches from Melia Sinai along Melia Sharm, Coral Beach Montazah and up to Baron. It is very long, and if you have the strength, you can swim along it all. An important nuance in Sharm that I noticed is that in summer there are much more fish on the reefs) I don’t know how it is in other regions, I always go to Sharm and Sharm...
аватар Stella25
I agree about the service, in Sharm they snickered, of course, and you can’t really count on the service. In this regard, Mars is like another country
аватар Tana999
Stella25 thanks I'll take note. What month is best in summer? September will roll? And in the summer there is unbearable heat)))
аватар Stella25
Well, we were in July) stuffy in the evenings, and at lunchtime from 12 to 15 it’s better to relax in the room, otherwise it’s nothing critical, in Turkey in August it was much harder for me to transfer the steam room) September is probably beautiful, I never managed to fly to September) in general, I love reefs at any time of the year, when it turns out, I immediately fly))

Tana999
We were at the beginning of September. The fever was well tolerated. I liked it better than in April-May. The sea is very warm. You can stay in the water for hours.
