What is the best room to stay in a hotel? Are there drinking water coolers? Or do you need to buy water? Is it worth it to get to Safaga and what is there to see? Does the bus go there from the hotel and what is the cost? What can be taken from excursions? What are their prices and where is the best place to get them?

No need to go to this hotel at all. We moved out of there after 2 hours to neighboring Solymar. Nothing to do in Safaga. One supermarket and market. There is a taxi. From excursions in the summer it is better not to take anything at all. They are all day, very hot.

It is better to stay in a bungalow, the price difference is not big. Coolers next to the bars, 2 each. But water at 0.6 per person was put out after cleaning the room every day. It was easy to ask for more, but it was enough for us (but we were in January and there was no particular heat). There is nothing to do in Safaga, the neighbors got bicycles somewhere and rode (about 6-7 km.) But there is only 1 supermarket with air conditioners, and wandering around the market in the sun is below average pleasure. There is no bus for tourists, and driving with locals in their Gazelkas is not for everyone. And I don't know how much the fare is. Excursions in the summer are better to take by sea, otherwise it is VERY hot. In winter, you can go to Luxor: the Temple of Karnak, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Valley of the Kings, the Ears of Memnon and a bunch of different things, you can’t see everything in one day. There is also a good temple in Dendera, you can go there. The rest is far enough.
Excursions can be taken in 3 different places: from a tour operator, at a hotel, and from local guys (they roam everywhere and impose themselves). It is better to take "historical" excursions from your tour operator, because the insurance and buses are better, and there are at least some guarantees. For sea and exotic (such as a trip to the Berbers) you can go with hotels and locals (cheaper).
