I bought excursions from hotel guides and from local agencies, and apart from the cost (extremely overpriced in hotels), there was NO difference! I went to Israel several times, again using one of the largest agencies (in the Old Market) in Sharm and did not regret it at all. It's up to you. ..and I choose reasonable money for the same as the hotel guides.

Since 2005, I have been traveling with the local company Marwan Tours and not only to Israel. The price quality is completely satisfied. But tour operators are reliable only on paper. Once, my wife and I were not even met at the airport. And the prices for excursions are too high, as the guide at the hotel gets a kickback. I'm talking about excursions in general. They take money only in advance, even if you get sick, they will not return it. The quality of excursions is rarely better than that of local firms, and sometimes worse. They also lie and load tourists at the hotel, scare them with horror stories. My personal opinion is only with a good local firm.
