I always took excursions from a tour operator, and there were tourists like me on the buses, the accompanying person gave out bright stickers with the name of the operator to everyone (so as not to identify "their" tourists in the crowd). If everyone ended up on the same bus, then either the guide sold the left excursions, or some kind of cheap operator. And, by the way, buses from street travel agencies will never pick up tourists from the hotel, they are simply not allowed there. P.S. In no case do I urge to use the services of operators, everyone chooses what is more suitable. But it's a fable that everyone ends up on the same bus.

I advise you to go with Tez, regardless of which operator you came with (just contact the Tez guide at the hotel). Theses have a cheaper price than other official operators, and their excursions are organized very sensibly.

We were sold tours to Israel by our guide at the first meeting at the hotel. The prices are expensive and without bargaining, as the hotel is alone in the desert, no street agencies. The guide is perfectly aware of this and did not throw off a single dollar from the price of 180 dollars. for the trip. Street agencies are "street" to some extent in a figurative sense, i.e. this does not always mean that they can be found on the street (because there really is a desert around). It would be more correct to say that local operators, as a rule, contact them even before arriving in Egypt, via the Internet, or upon arrival at the hotel they call them on phones taken, again, from the Internet.
