Is it worth it to go to Paris alone on an air tour?
Good afternoon! I want to go to Paris in September, I'm considering an air option from Accord (Prague + Paris, tour "In the arms of beauty"). Maybe someone flew himself in such almost individual tours? (especially for girls, in terms of safety) Are such tourists attached to groups, what is the quality of excursions? At the same time looking for a companion))

About a fellow traveler, you are here -

Of course, it's more fun with a companion.
If you are flying on a tour, it is clear that no one will arrange excursions for you alone, if you do not pay for the personal accompaniment of a guide.
If you get on a tour, then this is already a group, as practice shows, of mostly friendly people. So you will not be alone.
There is no need to be afraid to fly.

Thank you for your answer)) it is clear that nothing is clear))) I will definitely publish my proposal. As for the tour, the fact of the matter is that according to this program, excursions, paid and according to the program, seem to be added (but not the fact that it will be a whole group on the spot). In fact. The tour turns out to be almost individual anyway.

The tour "In the arms of beauty" is apparently a group tour, because. the tour has a fixed date of departure and no list of hotels. I also want to draw your attention to the fact that the order of the excursion program can only be carried out at the office of a travel agent in Ukraine. It is not possible to book excursions on the spot.

Hmm, this is certainly not very good .... Usually, all the same, extra. excursions are always purchased on the spot from the guide (or representative of the host) But nevertheless, my question is open))

I flew in the "Benelux + Paris 5 days" TOUR. The group was formed in Moscow. Part of the excursions was included in the tour, boats and the Eiffel Tower were booked. The rest of the excursions were chosen on the spot and the money was handed over to the guide for the day, since, for example, it is a problem to get to Versailles and the Louvre or the castles of the Loire on your own. Regarding security: keep money and passport with you (not in a bag) or in a hotel safe. Do not let bags and luggage out of sight - there are a lot of thieves, especially Africans. I mostly paid by card. I took a trifle with me to the city. The metro in Paris is the number 1 danger regarding thieves, their wallet was pulled out from our tourist, and the girl is 11-13 years old. On the tour, be sure to meet someone, I met on the plane. I often fly on tours alone - I always find company, friends. Go boldly. HAVE A GOOD REST.

So we flew to Spain and Italy. Groups were formed-Russia + Ukraine.
All excursions were almost included in the tour. In Italy, the problem of theft on the street was very acute.
And in Spain, near the airport, in a minute waiting for the bus, Russian guys came up - like where are you from and where, they quickly fell off, as a result - they pulled out the tourist's wallet.

Wow. By the way, I also thought about this - that it is necessary to somehow resolve the issue in order not to carry all the money with me .. I think that the tours described in the previous 2 reviews are already traveled by TS, well known and planned . Prague + Paris air (at the chord, alliance) also wins due to the Czech visa, however, it is not at all a fact that there will be someone and where to join there on the spot. I, too, once flew to Italy a hundred years ago - almost the entire group was from Russia, they seem to have a visa issue that is not so acute.

I will add, beware in Paris, in particular, motorcyclists and guys on roller skates - they tear off bags from their shoulders, they tear them out of their hands. It is better to carry a small handbag around your neck (like nurses). As the saying goes, forewarned is forearmed! The main thing is to close the passport with a key in luggage or a safe, do not carry it in a bag !!! Guides of course warn, but you yourself must be constantly on the alert. In Paris, the gypsies are constantly pestering with all sorts of tricks of their own - don't even stop!!! You can read my review under the heading "European carousel".

And our week in Paris passed without adventures and theft, thank God. It seems to me that it is much cheaper to fly not on tours, but to book flights, hotels, and purchase excursions of interest on the spot. Firstly, it is interesting to arrange such a tour for yourself, secondly, visit only what you like, and thirdly, for obviously less money.

Evey, I would love to go this way with a group, but in my case it would be even more extreme, I just never went on non-group tours alone.

Traveling to Europe like this is not at all scary, this is not the East. Everything is solved with the help of the Internet and a credit card. In Europe, no one will throw you - neither the hotel nor the air carrier. Very convenient train connection. In the same Paris, using the metro, you can get anywhere and it is very understandable. If you have questions about the sites, write in a personal. From tomorrow until August 12, I am on vacation, and after that I will be happy to answer your questions. This is how we fly to Europe for the weekend, we can get cheap air tickets and have a great rest.

My friend and I visited Versailles and the Louvre on our own. Saved a lot. On the Internet, they found how to get from Paris to Versailles. The train takes only 40 minutes. And there it was easy to buy entrance tickets and an audio guide in Russian.
We walked in the park, reached the village of Marie Antoinette. Very nice. You can rent a bike there.
In the Louvre, they also bought entrance tickets themselves. We got there at 9 am and there was not even a queue. True, there is no audio guide in the Louvre, but there are guides in Russian.
But the castles of the Loire bought a tour. It's really hard to go by yourself. Quite far from Paris.
Helena Lacoste's guide book "Crib on Paris" helped us a lot on the trip. There is just a lot of information on transport, museum schedules, etc.

thanks for the tips!

All this, of course, is good, but, in my opinion, the main problem (and not a problem) is that yulius flies alone. And here in the group it would be more fun to share impressions, eat together, even wander together.
I have a friend who always travels alone - but this is also a temperament, and the fact that she lives abroad alone, there are no friends who agree to share her travels, as I understand it.
I don’t like to travel alone, and lately I don’t feel like traveling at all. And this scares and worries me.

elenako - you noticed everything right) This is just "to eat and encourage together" in my free time from excursions - and there is what I need on such a trip.
