No, June is not the season yet. The man has been working with Georgians since 2013 and he constantly travels there and to Batumi including and we have been there both spring-winter-summer and autumn. I was surprised that in July the weather is .... with clouds, rain, we went to the beach no earlier than 14 hours, maybe it's cool in the morning ... Swimming on the beaches of Batumi is problematic, maybe huge cobblestones, summer sea in constant turmoil and with a child, I certainly would not swim there, so it was difficult. Service in the form of fronts, sunbeds, showers on the whole huge strip is missing !!!!! According to locals, the season starts in August and is short. Yes, there is something to see, especially if it is the first time. But I would not choose this resort as a seaside resort for relaxing and swimming in the sea, if I am inclined to children. Last May, they lived in the village of Kvariati. This is near Batumi, there was an opportunity to settle almost on the shore (in Batumi it is not possible).

I will continue. The sea is not the warmest. I know what I’m saying, since from the age of 1.5 my parents took me to Georgia on the coast every year for 3-4 months (I was born with a problem and only the Humid Georgian climate helped me overcome it. Therefore, my parents took me from April to September to Batumi, Kabuletti , Sukhumi .... Yes, where I just was not (this was before the war with Abkhazia, starting in 1976). I practically grew up there. And I remember that Georgia and now, of course, everything is completely different. Beautiful rebuilt embankment, hotels, towers and so on .... but from the beginning they started and they don’t know how to support. Everything falls into decay gradually. I love Georgia very much, no matter what, for its color, hospitality. But the complete lack of service and the desire to cut down more ... On beach, with huge pebbles, where you just can’t lie down .... and a complete lack of sunbeds (rarely, some cafes have everything). If you have any questions, write. We bought into beautiful pictures about Georgia. We may have been unlucky, a complete deception and rip-off. For a year I have not advised any of my friends to visit this place. In June, the sea will simply be cold, so just go in for a swim.

Georgia has its own charm, delicious food and so on. But everything is rightly said, to put it mildly, large pebbles, the depth begins quickly. Of my 3 weeks at the end of June and the beginning of July, one week I was not on the beach at all, due to the weather. As the locals said, "this is Batumi." Well, the prices for housing + flight are incommensurable with the service, for the time being.

If we compare Georgia and Turkey, then of course the service in Turkey is recognized in Europe. Georgia has not yet reached such heights, but Georgia is still close and understandable. I have been living and working in Georgia for the seventh year, I could dispute many of the points mentioned above, but I will not waste time, neither mine nor yours. Since my husband was often there for work, they merged him and his colleagues in excellent hotels, they took food to the best establishments and at the expense of the employer. They showed the beauties of Georgia (seasonal excursions were organized on the weekends (Kazbek, Gudauri, monasteries, springs, baths, etc.) we were in many places. Last year we were offered to choose the location ourselves, as there were actually more than 20 people and there were children (pleasant with useful) and we settled in Kvariati in one of the guest houses. The program was not a tourist one, we visited places where ordinary tourists are not taken en masse, we saw something that we had not seen before. In general, we are satisfied. The nature is beautiful, the food is amazing, but we are 90 % paid and organized by the employer!!!

But you must admit that there are more successful countries for a beach holiday with children, where the conditions and service for a family vacation are set up. Georgia in this regard, alas, is not an option. Only last year we took our son, 11 years old, from three children with us to Georgia, and only because everyone took children, but not younger than 10 years old, because there was a very active excursion. Georgia should not be considered as a full-fledged beach about breathing.

The nature is good, but the historical heritage is in a very neglected state: the smoky, crumbling old quarters of Tbilisi, abandoned sanatoriums and mansions of Borjomi, fortresses and churches that are not being restored all over the country ... But wine and cuisine help to close one's eyes to these regrettable things.

ollennka, I agree that not all of Tbilisi has been restored, Borjomi is now being restored, after the last war in 2008, as well as other resorts, but churches that are not being restored - I know all of Georgia inside and out, I have not seen this. After what war in 2008 is Borjomi being restored?? Military operations went on for 10 days and Borjomi was not touched in any way.
