Hello everyone, tell me if it is possible to rent an inexpensive hotel in Kobuleti (Georgia)
I want to go to Batumi (Kobuleti) in August 2014 and how can I find cheap housing there?

You can. How many people are planning to go?

There, as in the Crimea, you can drive along the embankment and choose your own “hacienda”, somewhere it can be free. Bookinge is expensive and there are no hotels. Basically, there is the so-called private sector, 2 and 3 floors !Across the road, the beach and the sea.

I absolutely agree with Alex72-28. In the summer of 2013 we were there - there is something to choose from, a very large selection. And the prices are completely different, quite inexpensive.

That's right, friends, you can find it, you just need to understand that August in Georgia on the Coast is the high season, and of course it’s better to make reservations in advance, the hotel is not expensive in August is unlikely to succeed. Usually in August prices rise very seriously. One more thing, I observe the weather on the Coast in August (I work in a Georgian company) - it has been raining on the last 2 August. :)

At the expense of the weather, questions to the heavenly office !! I think that weather forecasters have nothing to do here :). At the expense of the high season, you are right, it is the same as in the Crimea. If you really want to go to Georgia all the same, you nothing will hurt! For that later, it will be worth comparing with! Personally, such a vacation is no longer impressive, the level of comfort and prices, plus the quality, cannot be compared with many vacation spots (Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, etc.). e). With all due respect to Georgia, this is still a "scoop"!

I agree with Alex, but partially. Georgians and at the government level admit that they have a problem with the service, so many of our compatriots (and not only) go on vacation to the coast in Georgia, not according to the budget option of hotels. They try to choose a higher level, ideally - chain hotels Sheraton, Radisson, etc. There are good hotels on the coast, you just need to know them. And the places are also different - there are noisy ones, like Kobuleti, there are quiet ones, like in Grigoleti, for example. You can find it, trust me. If anyone is interested, I can tell. I have been working in Georgia for the third year in tourism, I love and know this country very well, I lead excursion groups around it, but considering that I am Ukrainian, from Kiev, I really look at the hospitality service. But all the same, it is worth going to Georgia, for positive, antiquity, cuisine, wine, hospitality. Believe me, the impressions will remain. :)

We were in Batumi last August. Hotels are all expensive, even in the private sector. The worst experience from the hotel. We chose at booking, but there the choice is not so hot, and especially in summer, prices just skyrocket ..

I’ll add my five cents :). To see Georgia, evaluate its advantages, color and disadvantages, you still need to travel around it! If you still consider Georgia as a “beach” vacation, I don’t recommend it! We stayed in hotel "Oasis" near Kabuletti (similar to Turkey). The price is 150 dollars a day, for that kind of money I would rather go to the hotel "Amara Dolce Vita) (Tekirrova, Turkey). The rooms were in the old building, soviet, smelly, food modest, but they didn’t leave hungry. As for hospitality, wine, color, you’re unlikely to see anything outside of such hotels :). Therefore, I repeat once again that a “beach” holiday in this country is far from all criteria, from other countries! In any case, it's up to you :).

Alex, your 5 kopecks are very valuable :) Very accurately noticed, if you look at Georgia - this is definitely on a tour of the country, but if a beach holiday is definitely a choice in favor of Turkey. And this despite the fact that the Oasis in Chakvi, I think we are talking about it, is considered one of the best recreation complexes! To be honest, I'm surprised. I saw them last spring on a promotional tour, they were completing repairs, everything promised to be at a high level.

Yes, they may raise the level, but the old building is still working, along with the new ones :). We were unlucky, the rooms in the new building, everyone was occupied! there is still a problem with the beach :). There are just sunbeds and sunbeds under umbrellas, that is, two "conditional" zones! So, in the morning we settled down on sunbeds that are under umbrellas, just like the rest of the guests of this hotel. Around 11 o'clock in the morning, a security guard appeared who strongly recommended that we leave these sunbeds, since they are ALL booked for VIP rooms !!! There was only one option, sunbeds in the open sun !!! There were days when you come for dinner, but in reality there is not what :). We are adults, okay, but children! This is a problem! No, still not, Georgia is still far from countries specializing in "beach" holidays.
