Is this a continuation of Georgia's advertising campaign already on the Internet?
Well done Georgians. Mass advertising on TV created the illusion of an existing flow of tourists to Georgia.
There is no such stream. Especially spring. Where can he come from? Even last year was considered post-war. Restoring the tourism situation
enough time. And there was nothing to restore. Everything needs to be created in a new way.
Although I know you as a connoisseur of new directions. Here we will follow your feedback.

Criticism also moves the world - provoking those who, perhaps, making mistakes and doubting, go to their goal. Do you remember the Eastern parable about the well? Go, go, said the wise man. “Now I see you’ll be there in the evening.” As a freelancer, I don't work to order ;-) Only out of sincere sympathy for places and people. We were received by our fellow colleagues, and not by the Ministry of Tourism of Georgia ... Well, okay, otherwise it turns out, I’m making excuses))
However, thank you for trusting me.
About recovery. After Ukraine, with its lack of roads, Georgia surprised with solid highways, well-groomed tourist sites (Tsinandali, Sighnaghi, Uplistsikhe), where tourists are invited ... And this is after the hard times of 2008. It is worthy of imitation - our estates and roads drag out a miserable existence even without war ...

It wasn't criticism. I deliberately paused - I was waiting for someone to answer.
This was an assessment of the situation with the "flows" of tourists to Georgia. And it is a pity that the Ministry of Tourism of Georgia did not organize such trips for freelancers and staff journalists. Some representatives of Ukrainian tourism seemed to be taken.
By the way, by definition, a "freelancer" is a person who works under a one-time order. There is a more detailed definition, then I focus on the work on "order". And I don't see anything wrong with that.
Again, by the way. Georgia's development in this direction is very beneficial for Ukraine. It will fill the niche of high-quality, but affordable tours, similar to northern Italy, Austria, Andorra, etc.

Thanks for the comment! and interest in the topic. We got inspired. And Georgia itself understands that tourists from Ukraine are a good impetus for the development of the industry. Fortunately, tourism there is supported by the government. Maps, diagrams, information can be obtained from well-organized information centers in Tbilisi and Sighnaghi.
And those who went on press tours have already written. Probably not bad. It will not come out bad about Georgia - the age of the country, its writing and wine culture is counted in numbers with three zeros !!!

Now you need to organize business processes - operators - to systematically study the topic, decide on the host, conclude agreements with hotels, develop and approve excursion routes, resolve personnel issues, prepare catalogs, conduct seminars for sales managers, organize info tours, raise charter flights, create sales technology (booking, documents), borrow money to cover initial losses, etc.
Or do you count on mass individual tourism?
Like Sri Lanka.

Oh, it really is a systematic approach. and in Georgia, it seems, they understood this ... As for the Sri Lankan topic in Ukraine, it was "rocked" for at least 7 years, at first a couple of Sri Lankan companies (Jetwing through the system of seminars - effectively, through tours for the press, Ceylon Tours - through mailing and info tours), and regular flights flew from Kyiv - immediately bummmmm ((There is a message to Georgia, prices are affordable, the tourist resource is huge - so we decided to launch a Ukrainian - Georgian project (LOTTUR / Tebulo Tour) in order to use the promotion of Georgia on TV and in the press. We went to see the routes, hotels, etc. We will move on - with mini-groups. I would not like to see extras in Georgia - I'm afraid they will trample on. And then, Georgia is inspired, this is not a mass product. For enthusiastic and active! Exactly to such an audience we address an invitation to discover Georgia with us.

Clear. With such positioning, Georgian projects will not pay off. It's a pity. Do not grow up to the Austrian, Italian and Swiss resorts. This requires large flows of tourists and money. Mini-groups - mini-tracks, mini-hotels, mini-flights, mini-projects, mini-investments. We have enough of this in Ukraine. That is why outbound tourism is booming.
In 15 years, Turkey has created the BIGGEST hotel base in the world. Won the competition with Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, etc. Let it be mass tourism. But Turkey is good for this. Yes, and tourists too.
But seriously, I am sure that Georgia is counting on mass tourism.

I think our discussion deserves a different format - with those who are globally interested in the development of programs, and not in the search for new routes to expand the range of tours 9 even if a good approach).
Write to Luba Chigir, editor-in-chief of UTG - maybe she will bring the discussion to the pages of her publication.
Contact - on the website of the newspaper. Moreover, she liked the country.

Hotline ok. smart, of course, but I was in Georgia in 2009 (May) and the situation looked much better there than in Ukraine. at least the roads.
Lanka, specify the question (localize) - get a more specific answer)
The main problem for traveling to Georgia is an expensive flight.

Thank you Victorious for your feedback! And Hotline... for a global perspective.
We are going to May holidays in a group in Eastern and Central Georgia - I wanted to restore the programs that led tour groups 20 years ago. We decided to start with Georgia in the spring. At the same time, the opinions of those who visited modern Georgia around the same season are important. After all, how many people, so many opinions. We ourselves were at the beginning. April, but this is not yet the season for sightseeing races. Write what, in your opinion, is especially interesting - important - where it is worth stopping / looking around. Thank you in advance for your participation in the development of the topic.
PS As for the prices for flights - a / b Kyiv - Tbilisi round-trip on Georgian Airways is now within 220 euros. However, the food and service is decent.
By the way, sometimes a flight to Kyiv on domestic flights is more expensive :-(
