My wife and I are going to Georgia in early September. Let's go for the first time. We're going to go wild. We arrive in Kutaisi, then we want to go to the sea (most likely to Kobuleti) for a few days and then for a couple of days in Tbilisi. Interested in relaxing at sea and visiting interesting places. Where is the cheapest place to rent a house? How much money to take with you? Where is the best place to go? Where is the best place to eat? Maybe some features? What is the best way to travel within the country (what is cheaper). What and how much can be exported from Georgia (wine, cognac)? What is worth trying, what is cheaper than ours? Thanks everyone for the replies.

1. Housing will be offered to you at the railway stations (as in the Crimea, they pounce).
2. Money-million.
3. Drive to Batumi, the national park "Mtirala" is between Kobuleti and Batumi.
4. Eat at local eateries. The cooler the restaurant, the worse the hawk-checked. The exception is if you are going for a high kune.
5. Get around by train-minibuses-budget.
6. We calmly brought wine and chacha 4l.
7. Khinkali - in the 1st turn. Khachapuri in Adjarian - I was not impressed.

How much did they take, how long did they travel and where did they live? How much can you rent a house in Kobuleti from the natives?

They took more, but spent ~ 3200 UAH (within the country) for 8 days, including Batumi-Kutaisi-Tbilisi-Stepantsminda.
They lived with local grannies, like in the Crimea.
In Batumi, prices are from 10-15 GEL per person, in Kobuleti, I think even cheaper.

we drove last year. This year, such a feat cannot be repeated ((((. In 10 days we traveled around Kazbegi - Mtskheta-Borjomi-Batumi-Poti - Kobuleti - Tbilisi-Signakhi - lived in hotels - ate only in good cafes - restaurants - spent 6 yew on everything with fuel UAH
They brought back wine, cognac - You can legally take out 2 bottles of wine 1 liter of brandy. We brought more. They brought dollars - you can change the lari in all exchangers.
Food - barbecue, khinkali, khachapuri (not Adjarian) and of course wine. everywhere I bought fruit very cheaply (June - July).
Memories are just awesome.

Thank you all for your feedback. Which seaside city is better to go to? How much does a seafood lunch cost on average?

Hello! I decided to share information with those who want to relax near the sea in Georgia.
I did not use the services of travel companies. She booked the flight. I flew with UIA, I bought it shortly before the trip, so it was not cheap, 4 thousand hryvnias. But travel is the biggest expense on a trip.
I advise you not to book accommodation in advance if you want to rent from the owners in the house. They usually don't advertise online. You can easily negotiate with the owners on the spot. We have accommodation at 30 GEL for two / day.
I rested with my mother, for us the most important thing was the sea and nature. Therefore, we decided to stop not in Batumi, but on Cape Verde (Mtsvane Kontskhni, not far from Batumi, where the botanical garden is). We lived with wonderful hosts on Magnolia Street. This is from the stop (there is a beach) to go up for 15-20 minutes. There are houses and lower, the price there is a little more and there is no such beautiful view as at the top. Almost every day we went to the Botanical Garden (it also has access to the sea and the beach). We also went to Batumi four times. Minibus 31 runs from Cape Verde to the center of Batumi, it costs 60 tetri (approximately 4 UAH). It takes about 20 minutes to drive. Food was bought in Makhinjauri (this is a village between Batumi and Cape Verde).
Ride the same bus for 10 minutes. We dined, usually, on Cape Verde a bunch of cafes. The approximate price of a hearty lunch is 10 GEL per person (70 UAH). You can, in principle, eat one dish for 5 lari.
In general, regarding prices, if you don’t fatten too much, have breakfast and dinner on your own, and dine in a cafe, then 30-40 GEL per day is enough for two (Without housing). The cost of housing on the Green Cape varies from 10 GEL per person per day (one even offered for 8) to 30. Wi-fi is nowhere to be found, and in general there are problems with this. The rest is on the level.
I also want to warn you, when you arrive at Zeleny Cape, in no case do not agree to help someone in search of housing (mostly taxi drivers and minibuses offer). This is free for you, but he will demand money from the owners, which they will not be very happy about. Plus, he won't leave you. It is better to ask to leave your things, for example, in a cafe (at Lily's) or at the entrance to the bot.garden. and head up to Magnolia Street.
In general, I am a supporter of self-organization of recreation, it turns out both cheaper and more pleasant. We talked with people who booked holidays through a travel agency, a lot of minuses came up with them.
I hope my post was helpful to you!
