Interesting places in the Greek capital
Dear tourists, good evening.
On November 18, we are flying to Athens for 5 days and wanted to ask seasoned tourists about interesting places. Of course, we are not talking about "classic" places that must be visited such as the Acropolis, the stadium, Piraeus, Plaka and the Archaeological Museum. Everything is clear here. But perhaps someone will tell you not such hackneyed places, which, although not so popular, will give you the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of the city and the country. Maybe there is something to see in the suburbs of Athens. I read good reviews about Vouliagmeni. In any case, thanks everyone for the advice!

We climbed the Lycabettus hill from the street. Plutarch on the funicular. The views are amazing!!!!! This is the highest point in Athens. There were also on Lake Vouliagmeni, I liked it, but it was in the summer. There is warm water (a mixture of thermal and sea, it seems) and wonderful fish that exfoliate (aquaria with such fish for peeling legs are now popular). How and what will happen in November - I do not know. If you visit there, please share. Good impressions to you!

I advise you to visit the hill of Philopappou. There you can just wander along the paths, have a picnic on the grass, and take beautiful photos (the view of the Acropolis from there is amazing). Immediately behind the Presidential Palace (on Syntagma Square behind the guard of honor) there is an excellent botanical garden. Walk for sure. Most of the interesting museums are nearby. Here they are on the map

In Vulyameni what: the seashore and beaches. Tours there in the summer are sold, with a base in such a hotel on the coast.

victorias, it's great there in November. Just not hot, many swam in the lake, a bunch of windsurfers in the sea. Cool equipped beach with a symbolic entry fee: 1 euro. Great walk by the sea with a great lunch at the local fish restaurant.

It's been unusually warm this year.
I remember being in February, wearing a sweater and jacket, two years ago.
