Probably because of the crisis. But I would not say that the service is much better. Even in such good hotels as Aldemar, the waiters are rather slow, the cleaners come when they please and clean without much zeal. Another thing is that the Greeks are very friendly and (so far) treat Russian vacationers well. There is only one religion! Yes, and there is something to see if Turkey and Egypt are tired. But you still have to get a Schengen visa and, just in case, take out travel insurance. And this is an extra 12 thousand for a family of 3 people.

This year good prices because of the crisis. And by the way, getting into a good five in Greece even now is not cheaper than a similar Turkish one. A 3 * choice is good and the quality is better than in Turkish.

what can I say - Crete is more interesting than Egypt and Turkey, you can easily drive a rented car yourself, there are no machine gunners in oases, as in Egypt, and a frame metal detector in a hotel. Calm, comfortable, everyone knows English, our faith and Europe!
