Greece, where is the best place for a family holiday?
Hello everyone! Beach, food and entertainment for children (8 and 4 years old) - in general, here are my three main requirements on vacation, I think families with kids will understand me. We decided to spend the summer of 2011 in Greece, but we want to buy a ticket already in December. I have never been to Greece and I don’t know anything about it, except for what is written on the Internet, and you don’t read reviews on the boom about each hotel, so I have a big request for anyone who is not difficult to respond and leave your comment from a personal experience

Hello, look for hotels that participate in the "Salute" program. They are designed for kids. We rested in Simantro Beach 4 *, Halkidiki. The hotel is so-so, but entertainment for children in full. And the beach is very suitable - sand and shallow shore.

sire, thank you very much for responding, but I have one more question, why did you not like the hotel, for us it doesn’t matter what the rooms look like, but I would like to eat from the heart, write if the food was varied and whether it is tasty, thank you

The hotel did not really like in terms of attitude towards tourists, somehow you need to knock everything out or make a fuss. There was also a minus in the fact that in early September a lot of disabled people were brought there. Not very nice when 30% of vacationers are disabled. The rooms are small, cleaned every day, linen is changed every other day. The food is delicious, but there is not much choice like in Asia. We were with a child at 1.5 years old - we did not remain hungry. In general, Greek cuisine is very tasty.
The hotel is very similar to a large pioneer camp, only with parents. The counselors constantly entertain the children, I think you will see your children only in the evenings, especially the older one.

tasja-sja, but I would not recommend Halkidiki. Painfully reminiscent of his homeland. The sea and the beaches are really good-sand, the bottom is good. At sea, all the charms end. Perhaps, if the children, then nothing more is needed. After all, it's not bad, no. Just in comparison with the south of Greece, the north is "resting". IMHO
This year we drove more than 4000 km by car in mainland Greece - Peloponnese - a week and then went to these same Halkidiki for a week ...
The contrast is crazy! How beautiful and diverse Greece is in the south and the boring, monotonous, flat northern part.
Let's just say that we will definitely go to Greece, but now you can’t lure us through the north even with a cheap charter through Thessaloniki.

Of course, I don't know where you Hatinka live, but I would argue with you. The fingers of Halkidiki are continuous hills, steep slopes, bays and pine forests, a lot of greenery. And the main thing for children is that the beach is sandy, so that they can dig in the sand and have a shallow entrance to the sea.

Islands! That's where it's good

lanos it’s clear that the islands are good, because I don’t mind, but I specifically ask about the hotel, where there is a sandy beach and good food, rummaging through the Internet on sites and reading different reviews, my head is spinning if I rowed money with a shovel without hesitation found a 5 * hotel, but the catch is also in this, because they say there are good hotels and at a reasonable price, so I would like to know who has been to such??? but thanks for the reply anyway...

And next to my hotel was Creta Mare, I really liked it. There are not sandy beaches, but a very small pebble, it is much better, the sand does not fly anywhere.

Thank you all for your replies, I finally figured it out!
