Well, not your truth. We were in Athens on Monday - everything is very quiet and calm. Greeks are very peaceful people. On the square in front of the parliament, apart from the janitors and peace officers, no one was seen from the Greeks. Maybe they are on strike - but this clearly does not affect tourists ... and these strikes are not visible. More foam in the media than reality ...

If your main goal is museums, attractions, etc., then you can in Athens. Athens is definitely worth visiting and 1-2 days is not enough (at least for me). And if you want a little bit of everything, then Athens is not the best option. Because rightly said, dirty there. Alternatively, see Loutraki (approx. 80 km). Or if it’s really close to Athens, then Glyfada should come up. There are buses from Glyfada to Athens. Drive 40 minutes.
