I recommend Crete for my daughter's honeymoon trip. I'll explain why:
There are more places to go in Crete. There is the beach of Vai, and Gramvousa, where 3 seas meet (look at the photo, you will be stunned), and Lake Kourna, and the palace of Minos .. in general, there is something to see. Again, from Crete you can go on a one-two day trip to Santorini.
Place settlement in Crete, I recommend the town of Rethymnon. The beaches are the best in Crete, as well as old peas with narrow streets and a bunch of shops, taverns are just around every corner. A great combination of beach holidays and active. From Retiymno as well as from Heraklion there is an excursion to Santorini.
Hotels .. I don’t like all-inclusive in principle, but in Europe in particular :-) There, in Crete, there is such a high-quality and varied cuisine that the “buffet” in the hotel, well, or as we say, “buffet” is not withstand competition. Ideally, take a hotel with breakfast.

In Crete, even 2 weeks is not enough for you. Although the sea seemed cool to me on both islands (I was at the end of September).

We were from September 14 to September 30. The weather was different, but the sea +28, did not refresh at all :-( 2008.

On Santurin, for example, 2 weeks was not enough for me. This is a fairy tale island, but for a wedding holiday it’s generally a classic. We even got two Dutch (same-sex weddings). Kamari 20 minutes by boat. There is an excellent bus service to Fira, Oi, Akrotiri.
