I went in early August last year to Crete. It was sooo hot there (as hot as in August in Turkey, but less humidity). In principle, tolerable, given that I also can not stand the sweltering heat. If you feel completely uncomfortable in such climatic conditions, then it is better to go in mid-September at least ...

The greenery on Thassos is such that on some beaches there are pine trees right in the sea. And since this is northern Greece, the heat here is not very exhausting. We didn’t take excursions. There are guides in Russian in every souvenir shop, take it and travel. Leminaria. All in no way, there are such "delicious and inexpensive taverns ... There are no multi-storey hotels at all. We also go there, but only at the end of August. Before that, I was there 20 times. I live nearby.
