We liked buying there for a different reason, I wrote about it in my review: when there is an opportunity to wander several evenings from salon to salon, calmly choose and ask the price, then there is less chance of making a mistake in choosing. Our hotel neighbors traveled from Kalikratia to Kastoria (they hired a minibus for several families), and of all only one couple bought a fur coat in Kastoria, the rest bought in the same place as we did - in Nea Kalikratia. Returnees complained about the rush, the control and pressure of the guide, and the high prices. That's how it was with us, and you decide and choose. Good luck!
