Multivisa
Good afternoon!
I really want to open a tourist multivisa for a year to Greece (90 days). By phone at the embassy, they told me that this is possible if there was already a Schengen before. Schengen was, a month ago to Poland (business visa). I will submit the documents myself, I plan the trip from August 15th. But I want to submit the documents in early June. Question: what are my chances? Is it possible to submit documents in advance? A certificate from work on maintaining a place and salary will be. I will also do a bank statement. I will make hotel reservations. By the way, I plan a complicated tour: Greece (8 days) - Russia - Poland (2 days) - Ukraine - Hungary (2 days). Should I show hotel reservations in Poland and Hungary? Or, on the contrary, can it be a plus for obtaining a multivisa? If I think something is wrong, correct me. Thanks in advance for your reply.

I will not vouch for each embassy, but it seems to me that such complex routes frighten and confuse embassies. You want to open a Greek multischengen, so the first trip should be to Greece. And in this case, the embassy wants to be sure in some points: you have the means of subsistence and work in Ukraine (motivation to return), after the end of the trip you will return home (to Ukraine). It is not worth, I think, to show them right away that you are planning to misuse their visa, that is, trips to Poland and Hungary. From my own experience I will say that not a single Schengen embassy is happy about this. Yes, in practice, you can then use the Greek multischengen for trips to Hungary and Poland, but I do not recommend immediately "pleasing" the consulate with this. I think the reaction may be the opposite, and you will be given a one-time Greek Schengen and advised to open all other visas separately if you plan to travel so actively outside of Greece.

Agree completely.
The Greeks will be interested in your accommodation with them, and not in Poland.

Thank you very much.
In this case, I have two questions:
1. There is only one Schengen in the passport. Is this enough to open a multi?
2. Early submission of documents. 2.5 months before the trip.
It’s not scary that the documents will not be accepted, it’s scary that they won’t refuse.

and yet, what kind of multi-schengen option is possible? 90/180 or 90/360? What is the best way to indicate in the application form?

1. Before that, you already had a Schengen visa. Let there be one, but still there was, and as far as I understand, you rolled it out "correctly". It is most important. I think there is no problem that you apply immediately for a multivisa. Previously, you did not have partners in Greece and the need to go to them, now you do. Everything is plausible))
2. I don't see a problem here either. This will not affect the decision of the consulate. Rather, this is even a plus, if you suddenly need to convey something or redo documents, then you have time for this. And even if you are refused (I hope this will not happen), then again you still have time to reapply.
And don't worry at all. Greece, in connection with its financial situation, gives visas very willingly. Good luck!)

I would advise you to write in the questionnaire 356 days (90/180). This means that you are applying for a Schengen visa for a year, and you are asking for 90 days of stay in half a year. This is the highest amount you can request. It is also possible to ask for 30, 45 (not in all embassies) and 60 days of stay. And to be sure, call the embassy, they explain everything there and help fill out the questionnaire. And one more piece of advice - check with the embassy if there is a link between the days of your stay in Greece and the amount of your bank account balance. For example, 90 euros per day, etc. If so, this will help you figure out how many days to apply for a visa.

In theory, they won’t put a refusal, they can simply put it under the first trip. Which consulate are you applying to? Kiev is the most loyal, Odessa is heavier, and Mariupol is the hardest.
аватар Annyshonok
I'm applying to the Kiev consulate.

YaroslavaS, sorry, do you mean the account should have a 90-day x 90 euros = 8100 euros on the account?! I'm afraid I will only have a trip on my account for about 14 days ...
By the way, can insurance be shown only for 14 days or is it necessary for 90 days? It just turns out to be expensive.
аватар Annyshonok
litvinova8, one entry, by the way, is also dangerous :)
I plan to apply from August 15, but the dates of the trip may change. I'm afraid they won't let me in the corridor exactly for the days booked in the hotel in Greece with 1 entry. Could this be?

If you show only Greece, there is a real chance to get a one-time entry for 8 or a little more days. Then you will have to go to the Poles and Hungarians. Collect a package of docks for everyone, 35 euros each, and allocate time for this. And since the dates in these your trips to Schengen are end-to-end, you may not have time.
A multi-entry visa is not given to everyone in a row and consider the option, but what if it is a one-time entry?
Combined routes are a "pattern break" for some of the less gifted VAC workers. Most autotourists get their visas for difficult routes in 3-5 countries. But you have departures from the Schengen area, so these are three trips and it is quite possible that you will be offered to apply several times - check this with a letter to the consulate - print out the answer (if it suits you) and put it in a package with docks.
For a cartoon, it's best to apply for one country, it's true. But not such great chances for it, although the starting condition you have fulfilled is the presence of Schengen for the past 3 years.
Your route is not very good - leaving the Schengen area is not to your advantage - if you have to go to the consulate three times?
аватар hatinka
2.5 months is not too early. You can apply from 3 months before the trip.
аватар Annyshonok
Hatina, thank you.
It doesn’t matter to me whether they will put a multi or not, although, of course, I would very much like to. From all the comments, I concluded that it is better not to show Poland and Hungary. But then, of course, it will be difficult to explain why I need so many things. And again, there will be few funds in the account: about 1400 euros. is that enough?
аватар Yaroslavas
Annyshonok yes, by financial guarantees I mean exactly that. They can count in the same way as you did in your post. The Italians do exactly that and they even have a calculator on the website of the visa center to calculate the amount that should be on the account, depending on the number of days for which you are requesting a visa. Check with the embassy for sure, because this issue is very important.

Here is a link to the Greek Embassy with addresses and phone numbers - http://www.mfa.gr/missionsabroad/en/ukraine-en/about-us/contact.html
I recommend calling and asking directly what exactly and how to serve. They usually help.

I've been calling the consulate in Kyiv on two phones for a week now - I never got through, either it's busy, or they don't pick up the phone. It is not clear how they accept documents for a visa there - by appointment, or on a first-come, first-served basis? Who was served in Kyiv - can you tell me? Since it is not possible to ask questions by phone ... I am also planning a trip in the second half of August, and submit documents now, so as not to end up.
I also heard that it is planned to open a visa center in Lviv, but no one knows when exactly? I would be very glad not to go to Kyiv, but to submit documents on the spot, in Lviv.

juliasha82 I got through today by number 0442545476.
You need to call to make an appointment from 13.00 to 15.00, I called at 12.59)))
Try. I was very nervous when I called.
Answer politely)
аватар juliasha82
Annyshonok, thanks for the reply! I called the same phone dozens of times today from 11:45 to 16:40, but to no avail. Apparently you need to call not dozens, but hundreds of times :)
I also wrote to their e-mails, but for several weeks no one answered ...
If it's not a secret, for what dates is the next entry open? Or have you signed up yet?
аватар Annyshonok
I managed to sign up by June 3rd.
But it's really, really hard to get through...
Unfortunately they don't answer emails...
