I can only share my own experiences. Halkidiki (mainland Greece) is cheaper than Crete or Corfu. Maybe a lot depends on the hotel, but young people from Russia did not like the rest - very unobtrusive animation. The rest of the cities - if you do not need discos (Rethymnon, Agios - Nikolaus, etc.), Rhodes, discos - Faliraki, for a relaxing holiday - Ixia, Lindos, Kalisea, etc., about. Zakynthos is a very beautiful nature, but historically there is nothing special to see. Corfu is a more modern island, little has been preserved in a purely Greek style and is a little expensive. Santorini is a volcanic, very beautiful island, but small - it is more reasonable to see it in a couple of days, Mykonos is a cosmopolitan, very "energetic" island, also a little expensive.

You have not written, unfortunately, your vision of the rest. We (an adult couple over 40) really liked Rhodes, in particular, the "Blue sea" hotel. Beautiful area, clean beach, food for every taste. The only weak animation, but close to Faliraki, which is full of all sorts of entertainment. They took a car, traveled all over the island, guided by a guide book bought in Moscow in advance. The island is wonderful. The views are amazing, the sea is clean, there are a lot of historical places. I advise!

I love Halkidiki very much. The last time my husband and I rested at the Flegra Palace 4 * hotel, we really liked it. We went from the company Musinides Travel. They also rented a car and rode around the mainland, on the way they stopped in traditional hotels, and not tourist taverns, wild beaches. We got an unforgettable holiday experience.
