We chose May (from 9 to 28) in order to take a car and drive the whole island up and down - there are not so many tourists yet, and the heat is not strong. But not so much with swimming. Vigorously dipped into the shore. There were cloudy days and it even rained. But it so happened that it was cloudy on one side of the island - and sunny on the other. Compared to August, the water was pretty cool for me.
