Split, Trogir, Krka waterfalls

If you have the strength, go to the Plitvice Lakes.

Trogir, Sibenik, Krka will be closest to you.
It will be moderately tedious to drive to Split in the heat. And it’s very tiring to Plitvice - it’s about five hours to go there, and then ten kilometers on foot over rough terrain.
Although nothing can be tiresome for a healthy person in Croatia, it is very beautiful there and wherever you go there will be a lot of impressions.

I disagree about Plitvice, we drove from Makarska from a Croatian travel agency, the bus is excellent, so 4 hours there and 4 hours back, with several stops you can survive, especially on Croatian roads. Our walk around Plitvice was 4 hours almost non-stop. So even my husband, who has a slight problem with his legs, said that he did not notice how everything went. It is worth seeing, but the Krka waterfalls were not so impressive, but I think we were not shown everything there. Have a nice holiday.

If you are going with representatives of the tour operator, then you will be given brochures with a detailed description and time intervals, you will figure it out there (for example, usually Split and Trogir are offered together, the same situation for Sibenik and Krk). I can also recommend boat trips from Sibenik and Zadar with a fish picnic. If you plan to ride on your own, there are excellent bus and ferry services in Croatia, go to the Autobusni-colodvor (buses) and Jadrolinija (ferries) websites, from Split you can get to Hvar and Brac by sea, interesting. Regarding Plitvice, look at the weather, the road is really tiring. It is better to watch Plitvice in the morning, when there are still no crowds of people, and if you go from the coast, you get there at lunchtime with the whole crowd in the very sun, and in August the whole of Europe rests!

Everything described is good. But I would advise you to go on an excursion in a comfortable bus to Dubrovnik. A one way trip will take about 6 hours. But a lot of impressions. And very beautiful landscapes of the Adriatic Sea.
