Help me choose a holiday resort for a week in Croatia
Please help me choose a resort for a week in Croatia. We plan the rest ourselves (flight, travel, accommodation), so it is important that it is not very far and convenient to get from Split airport. We are traveling without children (2 adults). It is desirable that there would be normal beaches (not concrete), beautiful nature, cafes and what to see (on the spot or go somewhere). Thank you in advance

I really like Baska Voda. Wonderful nature, beautiful clean, small-pebble beach, huge pine trees along the entire beach. And above all this splendor is the Biokovo mountain range. they are sold at every step. From Split-65 km, from the airport-80 km. Along the promenade there are a lot of pizzerias, cafes, restaurants - the most famous "Matryoshka", "King". Krk to Plitvice Lakes, to Dubrovnik. A very interesting excursion on the pirate ship "Karlo Mali" to the island of Brac. I can also recommend the city of Omiš. It is located halfway between Split and Baska Voda.

Thanks for the advice. I just, by chance, "stumbled" on the Internet on Omnish and I also really liked it. And what is the order of prices for housing and food.

I would not advise you to go to Omis for a vacation, it is more of a walking town, so just stop by. If you are planning a vacation yourself, then it would be ideal for you to rent a car near the airport and return it when you go home. So you do not have to spend money on travel to the place of rest and back, and you can travel to interesting places yourself. Last month I was vacationing with my family in Tecepi, which is right behind Makarska. The beach there is very good, as everywhere else it is pebbly, but half of the people went without slippers and pine, pine, pine.

Thank you all for your responses and participation! But, unfortunately, my situation is changing, as it turns out to purchase tickets on my own (without taking a tour) is somewhat problematic. And in the tickets that are available, the departure is not convenient for me (to Pula, departure in the evening, around 20.00). Those. in fact, I lose a day (with an already small vacation of 7 days). Therefore, I turn my eyes to Montenegro (for the time being, it seems that you can take tickets with a nominal flight there). Thanks again everyone!

If you have a 20:00 flight to Pula, then the return flight from Pula is at 22:00-23:00 (Croatian time), so you will have the whole day. Only charters fly from us to Pula, so there is such a problem with tickets, just a tour. it is not profitable for the operator to sell only the ticket without selling the tour. But there are a lot of flights through Europe.
Although Montenegro is also good. I was there in 2002, and then it was already not bad, I can imagine what is there now. And you can also go from Montenegro to see the southern part of Croatia (for example, Dubrovnik). And in Montenegro itself, you can go to the Bay of Kotor (the city of Kotor, a boat trip to the islands) and other places

Oyyyy, I went too far in time, I didn’t look where you would be flying from. Just fly from Kyiv for about 2 hours.

Thank you Kiev2000 for empathy))) I was in Montenegro last year and I liked it very much, I saw a lot of interesting things, but I didn’t manage to do much. I wanted to see another country this year, but again, because of a small vacation (I originally counted on a larger one), I would be glad to return to Montenegro again. Beautiful country, friendly people, delicious food))) what else do you need for a good vacation!
