Visit Main Bazaar. Look at the stray cows, taste the fried pancakes that are cooked right on the streets. In one of the roof-top cafes, order banana lassi (this is Indian yogurt). Look at the open toilets, look at the shacks where Hindus live. There will be culture shock, but this is the real India.
The Lotus Temple or Ashkardam can be seen in photographs, and, in the end, it will remain with you as one of the “pictures” that you have seen a lot in your life. And the Main Bazaar will touch you much deeper, and you will never forget it.

Many thanks for the advice. But I'm afraid that such a big program as a visit to the Main Bazaar cannot be mastered in one day. I'll have to take your word for it that this is really a grandiose, deep and shocking spectacle.
But the Lotus Temple and Ashkardam, gritting my heart, will have to visit.
If you are not offended by my modest one more question: do you need to travel around Delhi in the Camilfo metro or is it better not to?
Thanks in advance,
Alexander

I really liked the temple of Lakshmi Narayana. It is especially pleasant that this is really a real temple, where people come to pray and photo and video is prohibited. Those. crowds of tourists with cameras do not interfere with feeling the true spirit of this place. Humayun's tomb and Qutab Minar (there is also the famous pure iron pillar) are worth a visit. Gate of India and the mausoleum of Gandhi - for an amateur. The presidential palace is beautiful, but, of course, they are not allowed into the territory. Watching the old city, IMHO, is enough from the window of a car or tuk-tuk. It looks like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qU2MwSPpXQ You will see enough of this in any city in India.
