Which hotel is better to go to, what to take with you, etc.......
Good afternoon travelers
In mid-October, we were going to go to Goa "on our own", we are going for the first time. I would like to hear advice from people who have already traveled to Goa: how did you look for a hotel (housing) ?! What did they take with them from things (I was told that I should not take a lot of things and everything is comfortable, without any heels and evening dresses) ?! Well, and other travel tips that may come in handy.
I will be very grateful for your answers))))

Taking heels there is definitely useless)
We went on a tour - 18,000 rubles. from the nose (with flight), for 2 weeks, rested at the Baywatch Hotel **** Hotel with very good service. There are many hotels in GOA that do not correspond to the stars, so it seems to me that it is better not to risk it, but to go to a proven place. Otherwise, if you go on your own, you need to book a charter flight and a hotel in advance, you still need a visa, it is done at the consulate or embassy - it takes about 2-3 weeks, otherwise .. hmm, you need to go to Palolem vich - a very beautiful beach with fine as flour sand and palm trees. In general, when you come there - you will immediately understand everything and immediately understand everything, it took us 3 days)
P.S. Those prices offered by the local population can be safely divided by 10 and bargain desperately, you can bargain with everyone there)

I understood about the visa, re-read it more carefully. probably it's your friends since the tour is so cheap.

Hello. Goa fairy tale! I settled in 3 *** for reasons of saving on housing and amenities, spending more on excursions and entertainment. To my delight, I was not mistaken. Good service for the money spent and a lot of impressions from excursions around the country, from fishing ... With a minimum of things (warm and comfortable). Small things can be purchased on the spot, prices are very affordable. I remind you about money - don't even think about keeping it in a safe at the reception, sleep-wee-wee-yat is a must. And they lived in Old Ankor. I wish you a pleasant rest. I'm going in December. If you pass by, come in.

Tikhon, it's great that you liked it. Please tell me how much it is realistic to expect if you go there in the winter around December three stars. Thank you.

No, we did not fly through friends. The tour was ordered by my friends - not me, they made the visa themselves. I will contact them and find out which tour operator we went with, but, to be honest, I didn’t really like them, because they imposed expensive excursions and so on. Just after frequent trips to different countries, I came to the conclusion that there is absolutely no point in paying tour operators for who knows what services they supposedly provide, you can easily make a tour armed with google maps and the Internet ...
P.S. In winter we are going to Vietnam, also on our own - private apartments $ 25 per week)
