Is it possible to exchange Russian rubles on the spot, or only $ and euros?
Due to the instability of the currency, one question is currently of interest: is it possible to exchange rubles for the local currency, or do I need to carry only dollars and euros ???

last year they changed it without problems (just not profitable) it’s better to take a mastercard and withdraw rupees from an ATM is the most profitable (commission for the operation is 100 rubles)

I didn’t change rubles myself, I was carrying dollars, but already on the spot, after talking with the guys, we found out that it would be decently cheaper to carry a Visa or MasterCard plastic card. Next time I plan to take a couple of hundred dollars with me just in case, and then withdraw from the card.

Rubles change at a good rate only if the exchange is more than 10 thousand at a time.

We returned at the end of January 2015, I completely agree with the previous reviews. It is most convenient to use bank cards.
