do not believe about hot water, in Sri Lanka it was 8 times, in all hotels where hot water stopped without interruption. There are quite a lot in Bentota, Club Bentota is not such a bad choice, only 3 stars are separate bungalows, which can be reached by boat along the river. I can advise The Palms in Kalutara, I like it better than Bentota.

Were in Bentotta Beach Returned December 25th.
The hotel is good, no complaints about the service.

I agree with LOLA1702, Bentota Beach is a decent 4* hotel. But even among the "C grades" there are optimal options in terms of "price / quality", proximity to tourist sites.
