Until Unawatuna about 25 km, you can just get on the tuktuk. Price - 40 rupees per 1 km. (1 dollar = 126 rupees approximately), or even by bus. I won’t tell you the exact price for the bus, but I think it’s around 100 rupees.

If you are flying through Sharjah, then they did not sell alcohol in duty free in December-January 2013. Cosmetics/cigarettes/candy only.
