We had 85 days of the excursion program, all interesting excursions are in the center of the island, so in order not to wander back and forth and see a lot, it is better to immediately take an excursion tour + beach vacation. I liked the excursion, we were in the temple of 1000 buddhas, in Sigiriya (we climbed Mount Lion to see the frescoes of the "Sigiriya Maidens"), visited the elephant nursery, the botanical garden (this is the only excursion that we did not like). Arriving on the coast, the guys went fishing, they really liked it. Weather. Get ready for the fact that every day it rains, it can be 1 hour, or maybe 3. This happens even when it is not the rainy season. We were in January. But this does not bother, because. it usually rains at lunchtime, when you can sit at the bar, have lunch, and not soar in the sun or just take a nap in the room. In general, I liked the island. English is better. And with the garden, we probably just got unlucky. The tropical rain was pouring down, there was no time for festivities. The garden with archeids is poor in winter, because. many of them simply did not bloom. A couple of trees are really impressive. As for the trees planted by our compatriots... a couple of ordinary trees... are only significant for those who planted them :) And one more thing! For those who are going on excursions. The center of the island seems to be not so far away (this is where the entire excursion program is), 200 km, but you will drive for 5 hours, because. traffic on the island is disgusting, as are the roads themselves. There are no rules, everyone travels at a speed of 20 km / h, so one excursion will take you all day! And you just don't want the second :)
