I can’t say anything about the Thai stones - I just haven’t been there. Here's what's interesting, I had very good Indian star sapphires with me in the product, brought with stones at the beginning of the 20th century, I was interested in their assessment by local jewelers. So, in one large reputable store in Kandy, local sellers told me that I could not have such stones, because there are no such stones anymore, the deposit has been worked out. All around-run came out about 100 bucks. 11-2011. in Kandy, in a jewelry store / factory, you can buy a product with sapphires from $ 279, but these stones are of the lowest quality, they may be uneven in color or cloudy. I liked the product with a diamond-like cut, but when viewed through the light, the stone was pale blue and slightly ashen, I didn’t like it. They asked to remove the bullshit (which is laid out under glass in numerous standards) and show just better stones. They brought a box with a price and a marking on the bottom, 1 carat costs 250-350 tanks, stones of half a carat are too small and do not look if one. We zavrednichali - not that. In the end, they brought stones ... in a bag without identification marks - very clean stones cut a juicy blue diamond of 1.5 carats. Bargained 25% and bought for $440. I don't know how much it actually costs, but I just liked it.
