Walking to Jungle beach in Unawatuna perhaps?
Unfortunately, Google map does not show the paths along which you can go to Jungle beach. Is it real at all? And is it dangerous (well, there ... wild animals or the steep slopes of Rumasala)?

"Unfortunately, Google map does not show the paths that lead to Jungle beach. Is it even real?.."
- Well, what an inquisitive and restless you are, Ayubowan!
No, to look around on the spot and sketch out a plan of paths in the direction of Jungle Beach (this is a brush, otherwise our ubiquitous compatriots will trample the legendary Rumassala Hill :)
But, seriously, there from the actual resort area of Unawatuna, 45 minutes on foot. Alternative: tuk-tuk, however, tuk-tuk people ask dearly for this. After all, on Jungle Beach you can swim with a mask, look at the fish.
Not the Red Sea, but still curious specimens are found. I myself was there even before the 2004 tsunami and - dense - I didn’t use Google maps :), so I won’t say how things are today.
Decide to go on foot, check with the Sri Lankans: the path gets confused, and it is easy to go astray.
"... And is it dangerous (well, there ... wild animals or the steep slopes of Rumasala)?"
- To be afraid of wolves - do not go into the forest! What are the "wild animals"? Flocks of macaques meet and a couple of mongooses, if you walk quietly, notice.
Leopards - those in Yala, elephants do not come to Rumassalu either: a lot of people have been going to Unawatuna in the last couple of years. What I'm sad about, of course...

Thank you, Lanka-Lanochka!
Let's try not to get lost! However, adventure is always fun!

Jungle Beach was a little disappointing... In the photo it is very beautiful, but in reality it is quite a littered place. This is the "base" of several fishing boats. Appropriate and the smell is present. It's a pity! The Sri Lankans could make it one of the "bounty" beaches. Nature has 100% for this. Rumassala is a wonderful place!
We got there easily. From Unawatuna by tuk-tuk (300 rupees) to Pis Pagoda, and then walk 10-15 minutes. It's almost impossible to get lost. The path is one and very picturesque.
I want to say separately about Pis Pagoda - a magnificent snow-white stupa! Great views! Modern Buddhist temple. By the way, when we were there - there was a "service". There were two monks in the temple who beat drums and recited mantras. They let us take some photos and offered to play drums with them! It was something! Not only did it bring an unforgettable experience, they also treated us to sweets.
If you are in close proximity to Pis Pagoda, be sure to visit it!

We traveled from Koggala by bus with a condo for 60 rupees, and on foot (without a guide) we climbed Rumassala. Everything is simple if early, not in the heat. On foot to junglebeach for about 20 minutes, you can ask the locals for directions, the landmark is Pis Pagoda, and just before the descent to the beach there is a signpost.

Yesterday we walked from the beach, a lot of black monkeys with long tails, monitor lizards came out twice a meter and a half, but they are more afraid of us than we are of them, do not ride here on a tuk, firstly they snickered very much, secondly, there are a lot of interesting things along the way, they live chemists in makeshift huts, offering coconuts to travelers, signs everywhere don’t get lost, light bulbs are hanging in some places in the jungle, the beaches are now very clean compared to the beach on unawatuna, the owners of cafes are cleaning, we’ll give carals that lathered to the side, it’s worth going
