The Marriott Hotel is unrealistically cool, but the sights of Weligama end there. In the village there are only a couple of eatery-wagons with food, everything is fried. I ate fruit. With kids, you need to go to Unawatuna, this is the calmest beach + there are 2 beaches nearby without waves (Jungle Beach and Wajaya with a closed lagoon)
