Search for housing on the spot in Montenegro
Should I look for accommodation upon arrival in order to save money on the services of tour operators? Or is it easier to buy a package tour (flight, transfer, hotel)?

In order to save money, it is worth it, but it will be easier to buy a tour. If you live in a hotel, then do not save much. If you are ready to rent an apartment or apartments, then how lucky. Usually, the price of apartments per person is 10-15, well, 20 euros.
If you "grab" a cheap charter for your dates, then it's definitely worth it.
But why look for it on arrival - if you fly in the season (until the end of August), then it is preferable
book an apartment/apartment/villa/house in advance. Well, in general, for your own peace of mind.
Housing-sea! Whatever you want, for any wallet. There are some very good inexpensive options out there.
I am just getting ready to go to Montenegro and compared some of the MOT offers. I will say this, if your goal is to have a budget vacation for a week, then take a tour (the bulk of the really cheap package tours I saw were almost the price of an air ticket for 7 days), but read the reviews about the apartments offered. You understand that these are the simplest and cheapest apartments. They don't suit everyone. The advantage of this event is that if the apartments turn out to be completely useless, you will find the best ones (after all, you will hardly lose money).

buying a tour is really easier, and sometimes not more expensive than an independent trip, especially to countries like Montenegro, here I completely agree with the previous opinion. Simply, IMHO, when you find housing on the spot, you see what you pay for. Maybe it's really worth taking the cheapest tour for the flight. If you don't like it, find somewhere else to live.

You can look for accommodation to save money if you want to relax in a certain place (for example, where tour operators do not offer). Another option is if you take a bus charter or drive yourself. If by air, and without "bells and whistles", then an organized tour is cheaper.

Today, the owners of the apartments began to respond to my requests. Not bad 3-room apartments (with 2 separate bedrooms) + living room + kitchen + balcony. From the beach 150-300m, parking, internet. 45-50 euros for the end of August-beginning of September. These are "optimal" - both cheap and high-quality, but with drawbacks (for example, 4th floor or on a hill or the views are not so hot). There are prettier and with cool views already for 70. They consider this to be 5-6 local (due to the sofa in the living room). But for us it's for four. We prefer to live in separate bedrooms and without someone lonely left on the couch ;-)
Herceg Novi answers me, Przno, Petrovac.
I do not consider Budva.
And Sveti Stefan is busy.
So far, I have just started monitoring my apartment, but the price level is understandable.

We bought the air from a charter from Kyiv in advance. Directly. Now there may be last-minute air tickets - you can buy it. And besides, choose via the Internet and book a room / apartment.
We bought them in advance. The truth is with the operator - since they are not freely available - and we wanted this particular villa, because. were there and made friends with the owner. It all depends on what budget you have. If you are flying there for the first time, I advise you to take a tour. There are a lot of them burning now at cheap prices.

By the way, even for 35 euros they offer a three-ruble note in Herceg Novi. Normal, by the way.
Damn, I haven’t been to CHG yet, but I already love her ;-))))))))

If you are flying there for the first time, then it is better to take a tour. Imagine how much time it will take to find housing in an unfamiliar place. I also compared the cost of an individual tour and a tour package: it is beneficial if a company of min. of 4 people, but you have to fool around with the choice of apartments, what, where and with what views. And if the two of you are tied up by a certain date, then take a tour package.

Each house has Sobe, Villa, Apartaments... There is a lot of housing. It just takes a little time, and the lack of desire to do this can also interfere with the search. In 1.5-2 hours, any person will find housing with any requirements;-)
But we decided to get confused in advance, I'm sitting on the pictures and choosing. Chosen already)))
