In October 2017, they were nearby, in Albania. We drove from Zhytomyr there one way, back another. As for me, consider the route: Zaporozhye-Poltava-Kyiv-Zhytomyr-Rivne-Lviv-Chop-Budapest-Belgrade and from Serbia already to Herceg Novi. I won’t say where it’s better to leave, in that direction we drove along the Skopje-Nish-Belgrade-Budapest-Chop section. The road along the entire route is excellent, in Ukraine it is one of the best roads in our country in terms of condition. Abroad, continuous autobahns begin, fly by on the light. In the closest option - Zaporozhye-Chisinau-Galati-Herceg Novi (you can see it on Google maps). The first option - about 2600 km, the second - 2200 UAH. With the second option, it is much closer, but it will take a lot of time to get there. In particular, there are no special roads in Moldova (there are, but not very), but in Romania you will travel 2 days)) They have restrictions everywhere - 50 km / h, and village after village, with 2-3 policemen for 5 km of the way. They are very evil there. On the way (2000 km) we spent the night in hotels twice in each direction (1 driver, a very difficult road to Chernivtsi when we went there, and in Romania). We didn’t book rooms in advance, because we didn’t know which section of the road would have enough strength. Approximately 100 km before the overnight stay, they began to look for rooms on Booking.
