Any connoisseurs of Romania and Romanian beaches?
I'm going to Romania, I plan to finish my sightseeing vacation with a beach. Where is the best beach? Constanta itself, Mamaia, Eforie or Mangalia?

Ollenka, although I live close to Romania, was there on the sea only once in the town of Neptun, and for a long time .. I only remember that the entrance to the water was rocky and we sunbathed mainly by the pool. Did not like. But maybe someone else has a different experience. I prefer the Bulgarian coast to the Romanian coast, and from what is closer to Romania I can suggest Balchik (the palace of Queen Mary, but there is no beach in Balchik, small and rocky), St. St. Konstantin and Elena (one of my favorite places).
But the tour itself in Romania is very interesting. Nature, mountains, churches, villages in the mountains, this is something! Brasov, Sinaia, Alba Julia, Bicaz Gorge, Maramures, Sibiu - everything is very, very beautiful. I have been to all of the places listed and even more places are left for the future, to see. This summer I was in Brasov and Sinai.

Thank you! About Neptune-Saturn-Olympus, I have already seen that squalor. But in Constanta and other places, it seems to be more decent ... I don’t like to combine countries on vacation, I would like to choose a beach hotel in Romania itself.

To the list: the Transfagarashan road is also undoubtedly a must see. Barazul Vidraru, Curtea de Arges are "in a bunch". Very beautiful. Barazhul Vidraru has a platform for tourists, selling souvenirs, I bought a well-dressed sheepskin there 7 years ago, such a nice rug in the bedroom turned out.
In the photo - Transfagarashan.

Not far from Sibiela (you need to google it, I don't remember the place) there is an unusual rural museum of icons on glass. Very interesting.

We have been to Romania three times. Twice in Mangalia and once in Euphori Sud. The beaches are the same everywhere: dark sand, shell rock. Entrances to the sea - sand. Almost everywhere on the beaches it is noisy and crowded. The music is hammering, there are no booths, there are almost no sunbeds and umbrellas anywhere. In Mangalia, we liked the deserted quiet beach between the last resort and the beginning of the town of Mangalia. There were no algae and people were at a decent distance from each other, and the view of the water area was more pleasant. In Euphoria Sud, almost the entire beach is a rather narrow place, almost all the time the waves, the wind from the sea. But in non-swimming weather, you can have a great time on Lake Techirghiol. It is even saltier than the sea, warm and calm. You smear yourself with healing mud, dry yourself, and go to the lake to soak. The sensations after the procedure are magical, and the skin is wonderful. There are three beaches on the lake, hot yellow sand. One beach for men, one for women and one for general. The food in Romania is very decent, only slightly sour in places. Very tasty melons. The wines are also very good. Cognac Zaraza is produced, as we were told, for the domestic market, it is considered their highlight. Despite some lack of comfort, we like Romania. And there is something to see in this contrasting country.

probably went to Romania a long time ago. Why is there dark sand? The sand is light. Now there are a lot of sunbeds. pay and enjoy.
The music is not annoying at all, I heard it at concerts, on the radio. Sounds like ours.
Algae in the sea are rare, over the past 10 years we have seen algae only 1 time. Our family goes there every year.
If you want to go to Romania, don't be afraid. It's okay there. Beach resorts in the season always and everywhere with vacationers. Why would anyone wish there were no tourists on the beach at the height of summer? That doesn't happen.
In general, decide what you need, what budget, the bus is always cheaper, but the way is more difficult. The plane is perfect. My friends only drive. those. there are many options: from 200 euros to 800 euros. Hotel Europe, in my opinion, is the best, but other hotels provide normal services.
Talk to your travel agent, for sure, he will pick up a normal offer and enlighten about the resorts. Rest anywhere is good if your character is friendly and cheerful. Good luck

A brief summary of the Romanian beaches - *** but! The sand is gray and dusty, with shells and natural debris. The sea is muddy, in places full of algae. Gelendzhik is much better).
