What medicines to take with you?
Hello. I am going with my child (2.5 years old) to go on a big trip to visit relatives in Russia. What medications should I have with me? I'm coming from Ukraine.

Tips from a mother with experience traveling with a child (5 times already riding with a child): Divide medicines into several groups "stomach", "temperature", "allergies", "colds" ... these are the main ones. There are many different ones from the stomach: Enterol, Atoxil - this is what I usually take, but there are many options. consult a pharmacy. Temperature - Nurofen always saves us. Allergy - fenistil (I take both in droplets and ointment), the ointment is very good for mosquito bites, rashes, etc. Cold - there are many options. lazolvan, plantain syrup, etc. Chlorophylipt in a spray for the throat, Vibrocil in the nose. I usually don't take antibiotics. If it comes to taking antibiotics, then you can’t do without a doctor. And I always carry test strips for acetone with me just in case. And be sure to take out insurance. Have a nice trip! I hope you don't need a first aid kit!

Less first aid kit - a healthier child!
In general, you are not going to Africa, you always buy what you need in Russia.
аватар Marafetka
"Less first aid kit - healthier child!"
And I'm the opposite. According to the principle "Take an umbrella, it will not rain" :))
аватар Khersontaxi
Marafetka, thank you!! I am going on such a big trip for the first time, your advice will come in handy!
аватар Pachok
And I am opposed to even smearing something with brilliant green without a preliminary examination by a doctor. Especially shove inside. There are doctors and pharmacies in Russia.
аватар sigur62
That's right, otherwise I was horrified by the list of medicines for the little man from Marafetka ...
аватар Khersontaxi
Pachok, sigur62 guys. and you also eat in the car without a first-aid kit, right? ... yes, in Russia there is everything not everywhere, the road is an unpredictable thing, I’ll clarify. I’m going to go on a trip by car, suddenly in a remote village somewhere, something will happen, you need to have a “brilliant green” on hand.
аватар IaroslaviSHna
Khersontaxi, it's nice to have such a caring parent. But how are you going to go on such a trip without a first-aid kit at all? And how will they let you through the border without it? I look in ours - anesthetic, heart, antipyretic, for pain in the stomach (we still take activated charcoal on trips just in case), bandage, tourniquet, adhesive plaster, gauze napkins, etc. You are a car enthusiast, you know what is there. Pharmacy business in Russia is developed. There may not be a FAP in a remote village, but there will be a pharmacy kiosk. The most optimal thing is that all this would not come in handy.
аватар sigur62
"And how will they let you through the border without it?" (with)
------------------------------
IaroslaviSHna, and WHO checks the first-aid kit at the border? ))))
аватар Pachok
We eat without a first aid kit for sure :)))) but we eat with a standard car ambulance first aid kit. What questions might be asked of her?

What I wrote is the main thing without which you cannot go on a trip with a small child. When you are a mom or dad is not the first day, you already know your child. Do you know where the "risk zone" is? for example, if a child is allergic, then I doubt that with every rash, the mother rushes to the doctor. She already knows "what it is", "what it is for", "what to give to make it go away". For example, my child is acetonic. Without test strips and rehydron - I'm not going anywhere. And if my son's acetone slightly rises, I don't run to the doctor, but take it out on my own. Same thing with the stomach. The longer you spend with your child going to the doctors, the worse it can be for him. I usually give immediately enterol and atoxil, which quickly removes toxins and the child feels better. Even then, you can safely go to the doctor. And even more so, I don’t know how medicine is in Russia. But we have an unfamiliar doctor in Ukraine - he easily prescribes antibiotics for a common ARVI, which is removed by Lazolvan and Chlorophyllipt in 3 days. Experience. all comes with experience. Every mother knows what helps a child in a certain case.
аватар Marafetka
Yes, and when a child has torn his knee, it is better to anoint with brilliant green and exclude infection than to rush to the doctor and aggravate the situation.
аватар Pachok
And I’ll tell you more, ARVI passes without Lazolvan with chlorophyllipt in three days :)
"Stomach" - there is no such diagnosis. It can be from banal gases to acute appendicitis.

sigur62, if you're not lucky, they'll check...
аватар IaroslaviSHna
Marafetka, of course, every parent knows about the health status of their child. It is clear that you need to take on the road in your case. Or if the child is diabetic, for example.
But in this case, the question does not say about ailments. Therefore, a normal healthy child.
The wound can be treated with the same chlorophyll. If it is not allergic. You don't need to carry a bottle of greenery already.
Antibiotics and without a doctor will be sold in any pharmacy in Ukraine or Russia. And you don't need to go to the doctor.
аватар sigur62
IaroslaviSHna, do not write nonsense.
The first-aid kit is not checked NEVER and ANYWHERE when crossing the border.
I am responsible for the words. And stop fooling people.
аватар IaroslaviSHna
Just don't tell adults what to do.
I am glad for you that you did not find yourself in such situations. And I want to sincerely wish that you come across only ideal and normal border guards, and that such "nuances" of crossing the border will continue to bypass you. IMMO.
аватар sigur62
What is IMMO? )))
If you are not spared by such "nuances" as checking the first aid kit or your underwear, then this characterizes you first of all, and not the "border guards".
Do not try to butt with me, it turns out you are bad. After all, I don’t know you, and I don’t want to know, and I just asked you not to mislead readers with ridiculous and stupid advice.
Something like this, "adults")))
аватар Marafetka
They check, they don't check ... but the first-aid kit should be in the car.
What about pills? Do you also keep medicines at home? Headache - see a doctor? Traveling is no different than staying at home. The most necessary medicines should be. Especially if you are traveling with a child. And the set that I called - almost every mother has at home.
And Pachok, there was a case with my son, when they also said that SARS goes away in three days without medication. After 5 days, we ended up in the hospital with bronchitis, where they asked me, "Mother, why didn't you treat the child then?? We waited until the virus" descended "on the lungs!". So don't hesitate. And I’ll give my mom some advice - it’s better to play it safe and throw away the medicines later, when their expiration date has passed, than then rush around an unfamiliar area in search of “something”.
аватар IaroslaviSHna
sigur62, yes, indeed, what should I butt heads with you? I don't have horns... :)
Don't forget, this is not a dating site that gets to know you. And not a women's site to write about underwear.
аватар Marafetka
sigur62, I also didn’t understand the joke “with butting” ... what is this for? If no one checks anywhere, this does not mean that it should be so. And what does underwear have to do with what is prescribed in the legislation? Somehow you drove so chaotically, for the sake of "collision".
And I will decipher you IMHO, so that more smiles do not arise.
IMHO, it came from the expression in English. language In my Humble Opinion, which is translated into Russian - in my humble opinion.
аватар sigur62
Thanks for the clarification, honey. Only after all, I asked about IMHO, and not about IMHO, although you obviously do not care.
I also did not offer you an acquaintance, do not flatter yourself)))
Once again especially for you, slow-witted and self-confident lady. The first-aid kit at the border is NOT checked. Dot. This is what you were told about, but you rested your horn: they check everything (it means you have a horn, if you rest like that)))
Let's finish on this. I'm bored and sad with you.
аватар Pachok
Marafetka, yes, imagine, I have at home only those medicines that the doctor prescribed for a particular case. And if it is not fatal for an adult to take a sip of paracetamol for a headache, then to independently treat a child's self-diagnosed "stomach" - sorry ... the height of carelessness. And your virus would have “descended” into the bronchi anyway, if it is such a virus. Lasolvan and Chlorophilipt are not antiviral drugs.
аватар Marafetka
Pachok, "stomach" is not a diagnosis, but I defined it as a group of medicines that need to be taken. and when my child has a stomach ache, the first thing I do is give him enterol, which will not hurt him, even if he has pain from gaziki. but in my case, he always always helped, as he quickly removes toxins. and the child begins to feel well in less than an hour.
I, too, when my stomach hurts, I drink activated charcoal.
Someone threw off the link to the green. revered. and what? I did not understand anything. So is greenery good or bad? somehow no one has died from it yet.
And about IHMO - you are already just finding fault with words.
аватар Pachok
God forbid, of course, to get into such a situation when, from pain in the abdomen, someone swallows coal or enterol and lies down to wait for it to be allowed, and in the meantime, purulent peritonitis will burst due to lost time: (.... There was a case with us at school.
Zelenka? And not good and not bad - in any way.
Z.Y. A car first aid kit is not completed from the ceiling, and, by law, the driver must be able to provide first aid, this is a completely different matter.
аватар Marafetka
well, in the same article about brilliant green it is said that it has antibacterial properties. Those. still not "no way". What about purulent peritonitis? Listen, well, we have already begun to dig from the other side. with your approach - cutting your finger with a kitchen knife, you need to urgently call an ambulance, let them put you in intensive care, otherwise suddenly - blood poisoning.
аватар Pachok
My approach - with a cut finger, everything is perfectly clear - what is happening and why. With the "stomach" - no clarity.
And by the way, if a person cuts himself with an "unfamiliar" knife, say, in nature, then it would not be bad to go to the ambulance and give an injection against tetanus.
