Outskirts of Stockholm
We are planning a trip to Latvia, the idea arose to visit Stockholm. We have in stock for him and the surrounding area, from 1 day to a maximum of three. How best to plan and what to see around Stockholm. Does it make sense to stay there for two or three days? Initially, they wanted to come by ferry in the morning and back to Riga in the evening. Or there is something to do and what to see. It is especially interesting what is near Stockholm, an hour and a half away by public transport. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Hello, I was in Latvia a month ago, and half a year ago - in Sweden. These are separate trips, but it is quite pleasant to combine them. From Riga, take a ferry (book and pay by credit card in advance for seats on the ferry website) and sail to Stokg. It is elementary just not to get lost there, then plan a trip to Uppsala, 70 km. There are many trains and buses from the central station (terminals are nearby). What is there in Uppsala - look in my galleries. If you go back in the summer, I advise you to book an overnight stay in the houses at the water park (it is wonderful and quite large there). If it is not clear - contact me - I will write. I guarantee you will enjoy the trip.

By the way, I completely missed it, look at the Air Baltic website for flights Kyiv-Riga-Stokg ... and back. Prices are quite reasonable, reduce travel time...

Oh thank you! True, we have disagreements - two different trips coincide - the Baltic states and Montenegro. I'm rushing about, I don't know what to choose, and then there's the repair ...
As I understand it, it makes no sense to take your car by ferry to Stockholm for 2 days - you won’t travel there ... Or does the car still give advantages? Are there many toll bridges, roads, tunnels. And then look at the map, some islands, islands.
Flights are not suitable for us, we gathered by car. I don't fly at all.
Thank you!

Latvia and Sweden are certainly not the same as Montenegro. How do you decide: either north or south? It makes no sense to get in touch with the car in Stoke, since everything is more or less not far away, there are many walking routes. Yes, there are many islands... business cards and a parking ticket. I kept one for Oslo (remained as unnecessary). Paid parking zones are always marked. But there are also free ones... It's night to sail on the tallink.com ferry... the parking issue has been resolved by itself. by car it will be more convenient to get to the same Uppsala.

We have where to leave the car in Riga. That is, if you can’t go anywhere from Stockholm, then it’s better to leave it in Riga. I realized thanks)))
