The Alpine part of Slovenia is very fabulous. It is like a beautiful picture from a children's book. But Lake Bled did not impress me very much. The photo is much more beautiful than in reality. But this is my personal opinion. I did not like that there is a lot of civilization near the lake. Because of this, one cannot see the true beauty of this miracle of nature. Going there for a day or two is enough. Coastal Slovenia is very unusual. It has the charm of Italy more. The towns of Koper, Isola, Portorage and especially Piran are wonderful both as seaside resorts and in terms of independent excursions. You can explore these towns for days, and in the evening cozy cafes on the waterfront as a reward for tired legs.
From Koper 35 km to Italian Trieste and 185 km to Venice. If you have a Schengen open, it's a sin not to visit such beauty. There are no problems with buses in Slovenia. You buy a ticket from the driver.
