We want to go to the High Tatras for the New Year.
How much does it cost to rent lizh + boots for adults and li + boots for children, prices for lifting, if there are discounts during this period? and most importantly, the operator says that there is always snow there in this period. Last year there were high prices in Bukovel, people had a lot of discounts, no snow, loose, wet children left ahead of time.

I advise you to go to Strbske Pleso, only there you can absolutely ride on normal snow. In other places, snow may still not be in sufficient quantities. Ski pass for 6 days costs 155 Euro. Our favorite hotel there is Patria, I highly recommend it.

Absolutely right! Strbske Pleso is located at an altitude of 1355m and if it rains in the valley, you will look from above at the clouds below you.
Last year, at the beginning of January, it was like that: it rained for a week at the bottom, and the temperature was below zero at the top.
For prices, I can give a link to the Patria Hotel - http://alinda.com.ua/index.php/slovakiya/831-vysokie-tatry. Fiss is the best of course: it is next to the ski lift, but the places there have long been sold out.

I just can’t share my opinion about Fis - a smelly Soviet hostel (only the one that is located closest to the ski lift). I recommend Patria - the best hotel in Strbske, and the price-quality ratio is super. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the fact that it is located a little further from the ski lift, in the morning it carries ski bass. Skis and boots were stored in a storage room in Fis (worth a penny). For that, Patria is located between all Kolybs and shops are not far away. And also in Patria there is a chic SPA center, and in Fis there is not even a pool (although they claim it, in fact they give two coupons for visiting the pool in Patria)

SW. jabetta!
Depending on why go to Strbske Pleso. My answer was for skiers.
And the best hotel is Kempinski, by the way. Patria is better than Fis in terms of comfort, that's for sure. But from Fis I came out in boots - and you are at the ski lift, and from Patria (especially back!) We walked 70% on foot or on skis "gardens".
And the price is 16 euros / person. for the spa in Patria, isn't it sickly?
аватар jabetta
By the way, you can also ski back to Patria. But, I wrote how this problem (I personally do not consider it a problem) is solved. I did not write about Kempinski, because, in principle, it does not fit into the price category of these hotels. And Fis and Patria are almost the same price, but the quality cannot be compared. And as for the SPA, no one forces you to go there, and the pool is free. No one will convince me that Fiss is a smelly hostel - I was visiting there. Everyone who rested in Fis, but went on an excursion to Patria, regretted their choice, and the proximity to the Fis ski lift does not help. I write so that people make the right choice. Everyone will set their own priorities. I wish you a good rest and snow.

Fabulous! Read my reviews. Ask questions. Not everyone here needs to be heard. They do not understand that the main thing is objectivity, and not your "fi".

subscription about 150 euros, there are discounts for children
snow is guaranteed in the High Tatras (in the Low 50/50 it is either there or not :))
for hotels - hurry, there are not so many left! Plus, you still need to have time to get a visa, and there are a lot of people wishing for the New Year !!!!
If so, ask! :)
аватар jabetta
Snow is not guaranteed in all High Tatras, only Strbske Pleso can be said with certainty. Although, judging by the trend (I mean the weather), we are provided with snow almost everywhere this year. See you on the white tracks!

Lanos and Jabetta +1. There is nothing to do in the FIS, you live like at the station.
аватар lanos
As for Fiss, there are a lot of people there, the hotel is in the center of events, there is fuss and traffic. But you can't call it a hostel. The hotel itself is of a high standard, everything is clean, cleaned, everything is in order with the design. Sauna, swimming pool, gym, excellent food.
As for Patria - this hotel is insanely expensive. I have already said that it makes no sense to go to Slovakia and pay that kind of money. With this budget, you can go to Austria.
аватар jabetta
And I think that, on the contrary, if you really go to Slovakia, then live in decent conditions - it's for the sake of the Alps that you can settle in a simpler hotel. The last time we were in Patria (January 2009), the price difference with Fiss was 9 Euros per person.
To lanos: if you know the variant of Austria at the price of Patria (February cost for two - accommodation, road, transfer, insurance - 739 Euro), please let me know, I'm just now choosing a tour for February, I'll be grateful.

to jabetta.
247 euros per person in DBL, TRPL for 7 nights / 8 days on breakfast for the Vysokie Tatry & Viena tour... with ski insurance, travel from Uzhgorod and along the entire route. There is also a minus. There must be a group of at least 15 people
аватар jabetta
What does Vysokie Tatry & Viena mean?
аватар Vera-7
Accommodation 5 nights in Slovakia: High Tatras - Poprad area, Tatranska Lomnica, Smokovec, Stara Lesna - in 3* hotels and 2 nights in Austria in Vienna in 2*/3* hotel
аватар jabetta
Thank you, but this is not skiing in the Alps. With such success, it is better to purposefully go to Slovakia, then 6 days of skiing are guaranteed. We need a week in one place and lanos wrote that at the price of Patria, maybe Austria, this option interests me.
аватар lanos
The fact is that in Slovakia you can find excellent conditions at a price of 25 euros per person per night, so why pay more? I don't understand the logic: "I'll go to the Alps and live at the station." Each holiday has its own status, and everything corresponds to this status: accommodation, clothing, and skiing. If I don’t have money, then I won’t go to Monte Carlo, and those who go will play in an expensive casino, and at the same time live under a bridge, they will just make me laugh.
аватар jabetta
lanos, you yourself wrote that in Austria there are options for the price of Patria, did you mean the station? In principle, I am not interested in Slovakia for 25 Euros, I did not ask about this.
аватар lanos
I'm not talking to everyone here.
аватар jabetta
You do not conduct any dialogue, you simply, as usual, impose your opinion. "With this budget, you can go to Austria" - these are your words, which means you are just throwing words into the wind (which, in my understanding, is not masculine). I hope that everyone who participated in the discussion of this issue will draw the right conclusions.

This person acts on the principle of "Stop the thief." I think that on such sites you need to be very balanced and objective, so that people later thank you, and not remember you with an "evil quiet word." The fact that I am as objective as possible is proved by my reviews.
