We wanted to go to Egypt, now we are changing to Tunisia. How is it in March?
My friends and I planned a trip to Egypt in early March. Islamists are weird, but we have small children (9.6 and 1 year old). Maybe instead of Egypt go to Tunisia? We haven't been there yet. Who was, tell me, please, where is it good with children and what is the weather like in March? Thank you very much in advance.

In early March, it is cool in Tunisia, even on the island of Djerba, although it is much further south. You can, of course, take a break. But then it will be just relaxation, and not a beach vacation. But I think if you plan to sit in a hotel without getting out, then it will be safe in Egypt. Because resorts are carefully guarded. If you do not go on excursions, then the danger is reduced to zero.
аватар agent_borabora
For example, and the Monastery in March:
at night +12...+16 (min. +8С), in the daytime +18...+22С (max. +28С), sea +14..+15С.
You can sunbathe, but only walruses can enter the sea.
Tunisia cannot be compared to Egypt. Listen to the Russian media less. These are political games, Egypt and only Egypt!
аватар orbittours.ru
In Tunisia, there can only be relaxation at this time. And to swim and sunbathe is for you in Egypt.
аватар Pachok
If you don't want to go to Egypt, it's better to go to the Emirates than to Tunisia.
аватар Vika-klubnika
in March you can go to the Emirates, Thailand, Goa, Dominican Republic, Mexico ... in Tunisia, if only on excursions ... well, not hot ... but for a beach holiday it is not at all suitable at this time of the year (((there is even it’s cool in the evenings in May ... Although I really liked Tunisia. A 2-day trip to the Sahara is a very interesting tour, I went with a child of 7 years old. In Tunisia, the weather is almost like in Turkey .. So draw your own conclusions ...
аватар Zayac3
It was cool in Tunisia and at the beginning of June, but in March I generally think that it will not be comfortable! After Egypt, you will not like Tunisia, the sea will "kill" poverty :)) And the Arabs are the same everywhere :)
аватар LyolyaS
plus for the Emirates, maybe Tai, at least for the money and more expensive, but Goa, Dominican Republic ... this is much different money
аватар Vika-klubnika
after the Red Sea, any sea is poor)))) but I disagree about the Arabs! In Tunisia, there are more decent and well-mannered people, and not like in Egypt, hamlo and cattle. Sorry to be rude, but there are no other words! To go to Egypt only for the sake of the sea ...

Vika-strawberry, I subscribe to your every word.
аватар Pachok
And what Arabs in the Emirates! I did not expect to see tall, slender, well-groomed handsome men, with self-esteem, confident, educated! QUIET!
аватар sent2008
Question: "What is there in the UAE?"
Answer: "There is oil in the UAE"
Question: "Is that all?"
Answer: “Yes, now the UAE has everything!”
Therefore, the Arabs are well-groomed, educated, calm and contented with life. And in Egypt, flawed rogue.
аватар Pachok
Well, yes. Plus several generations of children from the most beautiful women.

sent2008, it seems incorrect to me to be so rude about all Egyptians as about any other nation. this is the same as "all Russians are rednecks" or "all Ukrainians are prostitutes" or "all Muscovites are snickering parasites." isn't that right? :-)

I didn’t meet others in Egypt, starting with airport employees, one of whom didn’t ask for an answer to the question “where can I exchange dollars for pounds here”, but demanded to pay him, the second asked me to give him a phone number and only after that he, an official in the performance of his official duties, he agreed to exchange currency, having received a refusal, he cheated, after our indignation, he abruptly ceased to understand anything in English. So why should I respect them?
My colleague, having entered the store with her husband, faced frank sexual harassment, the presence of her husband did not stop this preoccupied freak.
Another friend observed a very unpleasant scene: she, her husband and son went into some kind of shop, the seller put his hand in his pocket and began to make certain movements with his palm. None of the above people felt respect for Egyptian creatures. You can, of course, say that you need to dress appropriately and behave, but all of the above people do just that. And dirt, garbage along the road in the tourist zone, newspapers, packages flying across the airfield, and watering the territory in the hotel with sewer water with the presence of the corresponding smell is horror in a word.
аватар sent2008
And the fact that "Russian cattle", unfortunately, in recent times, more and more often, some of our compatriots behave this way. Very shameful scenes had to be observed in hotels, when our compatriot was swearing in Russian at the Turkish reception manager. And Russian-speaking children are the most hysterical, noisy and uncontrollable, English-speaking, German-speaking children react completely differently to the comments of their parents and generally behave. It is well known that it is forbidden to take out food from a restaurant, only ours are trying to do it, apparently afraid of not surviving until the next meal in an all-inclusive hotel, downloading rights, arguing with hotel employees who, with a smile on their face, are very correctly explain the rules of conduct in this hotel.
A couple of decades ago, it was customary to give way to women, children, the elderly in public transport, and this was the norm, but now it is a rarity when a pregnant woman, an old woman or a child who enters give way, young ambals with headphones in their ears and faces without signs of intelligence sit and pretend that everything is exactly as it should be.

I am writing the third message, because the number of characters does not allow to express everything at once. About “Muscovites-snickering parasites”: native Muscovites who were born in this city, at least in the third generation, whose great-grandfathers rest in local cemeteries, there are only a few in Moscow, the rest came from the regions, from neighboring countries, etc.
The fact that all financial flows are located in Moscow is not the fault of those born here. Ordinary people do not decide anything and cannot change themselves. And we are ruled by those who just came from wherever possible, read the biographies of the first persons of the state, the government, the mayor of Moscow, and his entourage. It was with the arrival of Sobyanin that the civil servants of Moscow were transferred to work from 8 in the morning, and they still need to get to work, an hour on the way one way is considered good, an hour and a half one way is the norm, you have to get up at the beginning of the sixth, who gets up five times a week at this time will understand what I mean. And not everyone receives high salaries, especially considering the prices for food, clothing, payment of all mandatory payments, and various services.
There are also quite a few well-living people in the regions - the heads of the regions, their apparatuses, etc.
And the general hatred of Muscovites is a form of envy

We were in Tunisia in the summer of 2013 and I want to say that the most inadequate were the Germans, not the Russians! And what better to go to Egypt with children. In Tunisia, the rest was not a rest at all, but the expectation of returning home! In no other country did I wait so long to return home. So if the choice is only from these two countries, then only Egypt!

sent2008, standing ovation)))
I wanted to say exactly what I said, and only what I said :-) on a resource like this one (and not on a specialized nationalist one), it is incorrect to allow yourself the above statements. to evaluate the people by their worst representatives, namely, such people are most often concentrated in resort areas in search of work, is a methodological error, because the sample, I beg your pardon, is not representative. You can discuss a lot, but this will not help the TS in any way, so we will not turn the topic into a tribune.
and, by the way, what is the topic "universal hatred of Muscovites"? some social movement?
аватар Pachok
On a resource like this, we are talking about those who "concentrate in resort areas in search of earnings," since this is a tourist resource. So, the RESORTS of Egypt are teeming with not very pleasant characters, Tunisia - to a lesser extent, and the UAE - amaze them (vile characters) with their absence. And it would be wrong not to take into account if there is a desire to go outside the hotel.
аватар LyolyaS
Pachok, I just do not argue with this. BUT the expression "flawed rogue" was used to refer to the country's population as a whole. I spoke about the impermissibility of such statements. Egypt is a poor country suffering from a political and economic crisis. Dirt on the streets, crowds of uneducated unemployed, stretching from remote villages to resorts in search of at least some kind of income. After the revolutions, all this intensified at times. This is true and you have to be ready for it.
But there is no such sea anywhere and there are no such prices for rest either. Accordingly, those who want to relax, but cannot afford a more expensive vacation, go to Egypt, and those who know where they are going - snorkel, divers ... And outside the hotel, except for excursions, there is nothing to do in Egypt.
аватар LyolyaS
You can't compare Egypt to the Emirates. In addition to the standard of living, it is also a completely different type of holiday. But, as already mentioned, the optimal replacement for Egypt at the price of m.b. UAE. Although, if the TC considered Tunisia as a replacement, then, for sure, she was counting on a very budget vacation and the Emirates would not suit them.

LyolyaS, we visited Egypt in 2008 exclusively for tourism purposes, before the trip we got acquainted with the peculiarities of this country, went to Hurghada to a hotel with a rating of 4.5, we did not plan to leave the hotel, because we understood where we were, the tour cost decently enough and having paid our money for the rest, we had every right to rest. If the country's leadership, having a solid budget jackpot precisely due to tourism, cannot solve the issue of providing tourists with a comfortable stay in the tourist zone, then my family and I have nothing to do in this country. If there was such a nightmare in the relatively prosperous 2008, I can imagine what is happening there now. And I, my friends, who also faced constant deceit, cheating, rudeness, sexual harassment, have every right to consider the hotel staff in which I had a chance to stay, the administrative workers of the city and the airport of Hurghada, flawed, impoverished, sexually preoccupied individuals. We are not talking about the population of the entire country on this site, no need to distort.

Thank you all for your honest opinions. In fact, I have never been to Egypt, all your statements are very useful for me. The fact that it is not worth going to Tunisia now, I realized. But my husband still says that we will not go to Egypt yet, because we are not Kamikaze, so that we can go with the children after a warning. Let's wait a bit. By the way, about those concerned in Egypt - when they were in Turkey for the first time, the service was excellent, and in the second even the hotel was more expensive, but all the staff were concerned. It depends on the management, which does not pay attention to the complaints of tourists and turns a blind eye to the behavior of their subordinates. In general, in any nation there are enough idiots who spoil the impression, unfortunately, in ours, too, judging by recent events. I live in Donetsk, if I don't know. But believe me, we have very good people no matter what. The same is true in Egypt, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. It's just that the ratio of idiots and normal people on a particular square kilometer is different. By the way, I heartily congratulate all Russians on the well-deserved (and so expected by all of us) victory at the Olympics!!! URAAA!!! We are with you!

olyaua1, thank you for the positive!

olyaua1, a good decision. I wish your vacation to be calm and fun, no matter what country you choose :-)
Thank you for your congratulations! Ukrainian girls are also great, their gold is worth all the medals of this Olympiad.

in a nutshell I have about Tunisia http://blogs.turpravda.com/Ezhik/98043.html
I was in December and even swam, although I agree with the children it's cold. If you yourself are engaged with your children and you do not need animation, then just to relax - this is a great place.

We were in Egypt last year from February 17 to 27, they were still fighting in Cairo, but there was no warning about not visiting the country by tourists, and this did not affect the tourists in any way, both at the airport and at the hotel everything was quiet and calm . The guide warned - on the topic of politics with the locals, do not conduct any conversations. I was 5 months old, respectively, I was worried twice when we were driving. We rested well and calmly. We did not go on excursions, because. back in 2008 visited many interesting places. But in our hotel there was a family that left 2 children at home, the youngest of them is only 1 year old and they went on an excursion to Cairo, and even with an overnight stay ... To each his own ... In April 2011, we were in Egypt after the revolution , then there were only 120 people in the hotel for 2000 tourists. And there were 6 animators on them - it was fun and interesting. We were in Tunisia twice, but in September, it was hot. Husband does not like Egypt, likes Tunisia more, and the UAE is even better. But everywhere different rest.
аватар mail-may
And I would not advise you to go to Tunisia, definitely Egypt and Goa !!!!
аватар mail-may
We were in February 2013 in Egypt, February 2014 Goa. Until now, from visiting Goa on emotions, I'm sitting on the Internet and looking for routes ...

Hello!
Please tell me if it makes sense to buy tickets in advance to Hurghada, i.e. now? Previously, they always went to our south and booked a boarding house almost from winter, so that they could get better places, but now they decided to rush over the hill. We have a vacation planned for the second half of July, the hotel has already been decided. Wouldn't it be cheaper if booked in advance?
