Which resort is better to choose at the end of May (Sousse or Hammamet), where is it warmer?
Good evening! Tell me which resort is better to choose at the end of May (Sousse or Hammamet), where is it warmer? And which resort do you think is better and more fun? Also I would be grateful for advice in terms of the hotel :)
Sincerely, Dmitry.

Dmitry, I don’t know how else to answer this question truthfully. You did not indicate what interests you in this or that resort, the conditions in which you prefer to be, the level of the hotel, the proximity to the medina, most importantly, are you a spender or a rational tourist? The air temperature is almost the same on the entire coast, you won’t feel a difference of 3-5 degrees. It is better to rest in Hammamet, more fun in Sousse - this is a generally accepted opinion. I can say the opposite - and in Hammamet there is fun (discotheques, bowling, parachutes, etc.) At the same time, from Sousse you can 20 km. take a taxi or train (10 times cheaper) to neighboring Monastir and visit another resort. And you can wave to Magdia, another +40 km. so there is no definitive answer. It all depends on your preferences. All these cities in my opinion are different, it is interesting to visit everywhere. But personally I prefer the north of the country.

Warmer in Djerba. There is no point in going to Mahdia if you live in Sousse or Hammamet.

Basically, I support the previous answer. On the island of Djerba, it will still be warmer than in other regions of Tunisia.

If you want to go on excursions or just see the country - see safsaf's comment! I personally wouldn’t go to Tunisia before mid-June, but I need only the sea and the beach there ...

Guys, everyone is right! I never understand when they say to Djerba, it's an island, the same thing you say to Cyprus, to Madeira :))) If you choose between Sousse and Hamm. , then there is no difference in temperature, you won’t guess. Djerba is a little warmer, not much, but from there you are unlikely to go to Carthage. Suss and Hamm. equally convenient for excursions to both Carthage and the Sahara - which the guide will persistently sell to you. According to that it is better to go another month later, so as not to miscalculate with warmth, but if the circumstances, then. . . It is more practical to ride to Mahdia from Monastir, of course, or there is such a tricky tour there. a zone called Skanes, which stretches from Monastir to Sousse. I wish no one to agree to stay there, because the airport and the area of landing and taking off aircraft are just parallel to Skannes and pass 100 m from the hotels. Invisibly, you will receive your dose of air gases, vibrations and other filth, do not hesitate, and this is absolutely not recovery and relaxation, believe me, I checked it on myself on my first trip. Here the Tunisians cheated - they built an airport on the coastline and contrary to the international. hotels were built to the requirements of flight safety, not even withstanding the required 2 km of the exclusion zone.

Sousse is definitely more fun! And it’s still cool to swim, the temperature regime of the two resorts is practically the same.

You don't have to go to Mahdia if you don't live there. Djerba has these desert winds, siroccu! It's warmer up there anyway. But you can in Sousse.

Thank you for your answers! I looked, but the best reviews in Sousse are the Thalassa Sousse hotel, I focus on a good 4-rku. Do you think this hotel is actually the best of the 4?

Good afternoon Dmitry! I would advise you to go to Yamin Hammamet, for the simple reason that there is a modern Medina nearby, which means that you will have somewhere to walk in the evenings. Pay attention to the Russian-speaking staff at the hotel, as it was not in 4 * El Muradi El Menzah, so all the animation was designed for Italians, basically. And yet, in Yasmine, all the hotels from the beach are separated by a road, but the traffic is completely inactive, therefore, for me personally, and we were resting with a child, this did not bother me at all. In Hammamet, I can advise the hotel Les Oranges 4 * all inclusive, the rooms are average, and in the bungalow everything is cool and right on the beach. I have already written about hotels that you should pay attention to in answering the question "Which hotels to choose." If you are not too lazy, find, there are enough items to choose from. And about Thalassa Sousse - it’s really good (I planned to go there myself, but there were no places), you will need to walk to the beach for 3-5 minutes, and count on a relaxing holiday in this region

Dmitry, be careful in Sousse. There is a set of hotels for Russians. Those. compared to other hotels like italian and french clubs, don't count on educated staff. It seems that local peasants were recruited for work. The most important hotel for Russians is Tour Kalif 4 *, it just sucks. Next to him is Marhaba 4 *, but in the top three Marhaba is already more pleasant. In general, look at the reviews on Italian and French sites. Then you will understand where it is better to book. This is of course, if you, in addition to Russian, somehow explain yourself :))

IF YOU HAVE TO HAVE IN SOUSSE WELL AND VISIT THE PENSIONERS - THEN JERBA. By the way, djerba is north of Sousse

The Sahara is north of the North Pole.

m-dya .... saw-11 - Isn't this the manager of a travel agency Update? When I tried to book Tabarka, the girl asked me again: is it on Djerba? They are also paid a salary for such knowledge. Here is a clear example of a "great, reliable" firm. Directors do not spend money on staff - they save. And then you meet a Russian "bull" in the hotel, who came to Tunisia, because the travel agency promised SAFARI. There for the manager that the safari, that the Sahara - all the same, just to tear off the money. Well, consider that wee-wee-wee paid for a tour to Tunisia as to Kenya with a safari trip. He kept asking me: what is the wild world in Tunisia, do you know everything? I, in the simplicity of my soul, say: well, maybe camels, all sorts of goats, even wild boars are found in the mountains, maybe snakes, scorpions .... people :) (. But he is not ... African for hunting. Well, here I am -wee, I say, if they promised the African five (elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippopotamuses...), then it's 5,000 km south.
So be careful before you pay money.

Safsaf - I read your comments with great interest! Do you work in ag-ve? In what city?
аватар DegusT
Katerina,
I do not work in a travel agency, although they offered it here and there. I live in Kyiv, and I visit Tunisia every year, sometimes I manage a couple of times, in general, already 10, only on vacation. Until I got bored, until the prices went up a lot. They are going to densely build up the coast there, I have already seen the layout. The developers are Emiratis (if you can call it that), so a new Burj, or something like that, will soon grow. They chose a site for a new resort between Yasmine and Kantaoui. As well as a new airport, the contractors are Turks. So there is not much time left to "roll" in Tunisia. Or maybe buy an apartment there, before it's too late, it's still cheaper than in Kyiv. And I love to write, and this is how I earn money. Thank you for the comments.
аватар katerina00
Oh yes, the apartment idea is great. As far as I heard, it is quite problematic to get a land plot from them, there are many applicants. Who do you work for, if I may ask?
аватар DegusT
Katerina, let's not get personal. The plot can be problematic, especially for foreigners. And ready-made housing, such as in a cottage village or a small apartment - 2 bedrooms, a salon and a kitchen - is acceptable, again compared to Kyiv.
аватар katerina00
we won't let's not. Do you know how much an apartment in Hammamet might cost?
аватар DegusT
I know! There are enough real estate bureaus in Hammamet, you can search the sites. In general, Katerina, you can write to me at [email protected]
