I would take it warmer, but also a little summer. Windbreakers are a must. Tunisia (especially its north - Hammamet, Sousse, Monastir) is very much not Egypt. There is no African heat in our understanding in May.

and you most likely won’t be able to swim, well, only if you are not walruses. In May, we sunbathed only when the sun was out, and when it rained, we had to sit in the spa :))) and in the evening, I went in a jacket, and 2 times I put on a sweater. But you can safely go on excursions, not so hot.
